QUOTE(kentLKW @ Jul 1 2013, 09:38 AM) Ya man. If I do use it, I'll just use the bottom half. Looks nice like a Leica. The only problem with that is that I have to use the strap.Have since removed everything and the only protection is a filter on the front. Only use the hood when purposely out shooting. |

QUOTE(kmoh4346 @ Jul 3 2013, 11:34 PM) I have a XF1 along with my X100 and X-E1.Beautifully designed, nice 'expensive' tactile feel to it (only the retractable lens barrel is a bit cheap looking like some chromed plastic). Nice to have f1.8 for low light but be aware that's only wide open. IQ pretty good for a compact at low ISO's but bumping it up to ISO800 in regular mode is pretty much the max. If you use the trick EXR low noise mode, ISO1600 is decent but the file size is chopped in half. Unless you're printing posters, the XF1 is a very nice compact. Sold my Canon S95 to get one. Good review by our mingthien on the XF1: http://blog.mingthein.com/2012/11/13/fuji-finepix-xf1/ Sample pic from me @ ISO100 (taken by the wife actually while I was wielding my X-E1 |

Focus peaking? Nice!
Not so nice is how the screen refresh rate drops with peaking. Tried turning off peaking but refresh rate is the same. Now every time you switch to MF the refresh rate drops. Try it under certain fluorescent lightning and you will know what I mean.... |

QUOTE(geek8585 @ Jul 25 2013, 11:47 AM) recording movies i not sure... but i read somewhere there will be another firmware roll out by not so soon... heard is added different colour for peaking features... Already tried. There is peaking before you start recording but no peaking once recording has started so shifting focus during recording is still a challenge....oh yea... 23mm F1.4... the one i waiting for... |
