QUOTE(wKkaY @ May 8 2013, 11:29 PM) QUOTE(danial92 @ May 9 2013, 02:12 AM) Erm, I guess I can fit since I try DSD before and the wetsuit provide are suit as my body size. hmm, which part of kl/klang valley area? Oh, I see. I think mask is required for me because my nose is kinda small. Hi guys, just want to ask is there any recommended dive shops around K.L or Klang Valley that provides PADI OWD course? because I did some research for the available dive shops within the klang valley area and kl area, and till now I'm not sure which dive center that I can choose from? Do you guys have any recommendations? Thanks. QUOTE(jakesean @ May 9 2013, 08:08 AM) dont worry, we might still have 1 space |

QUOTE(wKkaY @ May 16 2013, 11:47 AM) There were a few exciting ones, like a rebreather getting smashed and filling the diver's mouth with a caustic cocktail. AHAHHAHA, bollywood stunt... Generally though, you won't find anything like this ![]() Most of the stories have extraordinary outcomes, but when you decompose them into a chain of events, each individual event turns out to be very ordinary. Some are anticipated for in training. While some others - like panic - is very common and I'm not sure what kind of training can mitigate this... |

QUOTE(miuk @ May 21 2013, 03:53 PM) Hi all, what would you like to know? I heard there was a recent diving fatality in Johor recently. Anyone heard anything? The source i heard it from was also from a second hand source, hence the lack of details. I searched MUW and Scubaboard but did not find anything. QUOTE(chastise @ May 21 2013, 04:02 PM) QUOTE(miuk @ May 21 2013, 04:42 PM) Usually seaventures does offer a discounted rate. i heard seaventures provide dorm accommodation now... But usually the most aggressive ones would be those from perhentian |

QUOTE(ayanozomireon @ May 28 2013, 05:19 PM) Dear Sirs, wah, no need so formal lah... Just my 2 cents, if you would want to take OW course in july, why not visit MIDE (Dive Expo) on the first weekend of july in PWTC,KL . I'm 100% sure they have better deals there. Even if you are not signing up for diving course, you can get many useful information there as well. I m planning to take the padi open water course alone in july , likely early in Perhentian. I m considering bayu dive resort or universal with stay in cozy. You guys advices will be highly appreciated. thanks. Why not just tell us why do you choose Perhentian as your O/W Certification trip? If you are going alone, why don't you get your confined water done here instead of doing crash course in the island. Which i would not recommend for Open water. Mind telling us where you from and we can suggest a nearest dive center for you QUOTE(EvanSoon @ May 28 2013, 05:27 PM) I've only dived with seahorse which is beside universal. Small but friendly people. Not sure about universal cos the seem kinda .......... to me, personal opinion. Evan, they only kinda ....... on peak season only la. I know you side your "sayang" but then dont la so bias...Some have dived with others so maybe they can give a better opinion. |

QUOTE(munkeyflo @ May 29 2013, 02:14 PM) Samurai actually helped arrange for us first, until he told us Universal was asking for deposit of RM150 per person. Then only we contacted Universal directly. Juniorkirk contacted Universal so I don't exactly know the details. I contacted Charlotte, she ask me to contact samurai, so its like merry-go-round case. And she didn't even bother to reply my email/question after that. Then when we contact samurai. He only replied after a few days saying that Charlotte went overseas, have to wait for her to come back only he could ask her and she could only answer. So for every question we ask, we need to go thru a middle man. At the same time, we were also looking for other dive centers around and found Seahorse to be quite flexible and accommodating. So if that is the case, why not let us, the divers deal with them directly. After all, we have agree that we only arrange our dive our self. We don't mind about paying RM 150 for deposit even its quite a lot. What if one of the diver would only want to do 1 dive?... But the problem is after we pay the deposit, they only can guarantee us 4 dives, additional dive subjects to availability of DM and boat and others. Due to peak season... If they are professional, they should at least reply my email or clarify on this issue. Otherwise we will still think that they not interested of doing our business. QUOTE(Putraskyline @ May 29 2013, 02:53 PM) Yeah... Hopefully they will still clarify this issue so we will change our bad impression towards them... |
