QUOTE(nles @ Apr 24 2006, 12:01 PM) Is it for lowlight condition the less aperture the better? example f/1.8 compare to f/4. telephoto AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G good enough for low light concert? of course, the smaller aperture f no (larger aperture size) can let in more light when u shoot in low light condition while you still can use a faster shutter speed to avoid handshake. Compared to f/1.8 and f/4, f/1.8 can allow more light going to the censor. In low light condition, shutter speed, aperture size and iso has conquered the main factor. If you use AF Zoom-Nikkor 70-300mm f/4-5.6G shoot for low light concert, you must prepare a tripod since the aperture is not big enough to let u set a faster shutter speed. But slow shutter speed will make the image blur, then iso can help you on this...but i think 70-300 still not enough to shoot long distance concert....
