4.00pm: Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Ismail Omar said he has instructed his commandos on ground to take extra precaution as operation was ongoing.
He believed the remaining Sulu soldiers were still in- and around the operation area, adding that it was unknown whether some managed to escape to other nearby villages such as Tanjung Batu.

PETALING JAYA 5 Mac - Semangat anggota polis dan tentera yang menyertai 'Ops Daulat' untuk menghapuskan pengganas asing bersenjata dari Kampung Tanduo di Lahad Datu, Sabah terus membara berkat sokongan dan dorongan kuat seluruh rakyat Malaysia, demikian diumumkan hari ini.

Dalam sidang video dengan editor kanan media dari Lahad Datu, Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Ismail Omar berkata, anggota polis dan tentera yang menyertai operasi itu tidak mengalami sebarang kecederaan.

Ismail berkata, anak buahnya mendapat semangat daripada sokongan yang dipamerkan orang ramai terhadap usaha mereka memburu pengganas berkenaan.

Panglima Angkatan Tentera Malaysia, Tan Sri Jeneral Zulkifeli Mohd. Zin pula berkata, selain semangat tinggi yang ditunjukkan anggota tentera, seperkara lagi yang begitu membanggakan ialah kerjasama erat yang terjalin antara pasukan polis dan tentera dalam operasi pembersihan di Kampung Tanduo melalui Strategi Lautan Biru Kebangsaan (NBOS).
