QUOTE(galaxy s forever @ Mar 5 2013, 06:29 PM)
Using fighter jets to attack a handful of guerillas is plain showbiz. What can an F16 do with a highly mobile band of warriors that are sometimes living with civilians?
The only way to flush them out is through jungle warfare and sometimes among civilian population.
A few more casualties from the Malaysian side, a few more weeks of fighting, a few civilian casualties, a thousand evacuees from conflict area, then one or two terrorist bombs exploding in a Malaysian urban center, and the immediate goal of the Sultan of Sulu and his supporter will be achieved.
One the conflict gets worldwide attention, pressure will mount on the Malaysian government and it will be forced to sit down and negotiate.
Time is not on Malaysia's side.

the aerial bombardment is to show to these sululz and their allies that our air force is totally different from philippine air force. they only have ground attack aircraft that can only conduct aerial bombing without minimal precision at jungle area. compared to us, our special forces is equipped with laser designator that can pinpoint targets for our F-18 Hornet and Su-30MKM to bomb their targets with deadly precision. this is a reminder to the sululz that malaysia is not like their typical playground back in philippines. if they are still determined to hold their ground on our land, they will be living under constant fear from highly precision aerial bombing from our flyboys

Warfare strategy

In America ,This is what they would do if there is a invasion on their land, the president would make a announcement to the public, give them an early warning to clear the civilian 50KM away from the affected area before launching an attack, air strike/motar/sniper(long range attack) ,clear the ground for the military troops to land to reduced maximum casualties on their troops.

For malaysia what we did was to cover up the invasion for 3 weeks, land our police force without air support, wasted 3 weeks time to negotiate with invader and end up fighting them at last, giving the invaders more time to get comfortable with our terrain and form a plan of ambush. confirming to the people over and over again that the poilce force have everything under control(1 day in battle 2 death,2nd day 5 death, total death today 8 and counting) , they finally realised that they are out of control and the police force casualties is increasing . the military force finally came in today and launch a attack on the invaders with 0 casualties on our side

I'm not saying that VAT69(police task force) dont have the skill to perform the task, what they are lack of is the right equipment for every single ground troops at lahad datu(night vision goggles/bullet proof helmet/hand granade), The ATM force are all very well gear up for war and they have as much skill as our vat 69 force

I have a great respect to our police force serving our country, every malaysian lives is important, if they have taken action in advance, our man would not have die in lahad datu.giving sympathy to our enemy is the worst thing we could do

If you think I'm wrong, look at the fact now, after going a huge circle, the military finally step in, they should have step in 3 weeks ago, the result is clear, a clean attack with 0 casualties (5/3/2013). for the past 2 weeks our military force are just there as backup..what do you think ?

when the negotiation fail a swift action should be taken and not ,'take action when our man is dead' .

- UTUSAN
