31/10: Submitted my application at TMpoint
4/11: They keyed in the application. 5/11: Fed up with no updates (e-mail), I used the Unifi locator to check my application status. Lo and behold, it's there! (and pending). 9/11: Checked on Locator again, installation date shows up. 14/11: Tentative installation date. |

"Installation postponed due to bad weather."
I don't mind that. What I do mind is the fact that they did not inform me of the installation date at all until the day of the installation itself! I had to search my own address on Unifi's site to find out. |

QUOTE(TheAlmightyBuck @ Nov 17 2015, 05:50 AM) Hi everyone. I am currently a student at Curtin Sarawak in Miri. I am subscribed to VIP 20 for almost 2 years now. Quality is okay, still enjoying hitting around 20mb/s almost all the time considering that there are 9 people connected to the WiFi. Have you checked with the Unifi locator?I will be going back to Sabah for summer holiday next month. I would love to be able to subscribe to the new Unifi 50 mb\s when I reach there. The BIG QUESTION is. Is UNIFI available at the area that I'll be going? Which is at (Taman Kepayan Lorong 1A) nearby Kepayan Apartment, the new RTM station and CKS Milllenium? Still not sure about any white boxes or cabinets installed by TM around the area or anything yet but I am bloody sure that area is blooming with new businesses and new housing. (preferably to subscribe the UNIFI 50 and with Fibre optic cables) |

QUOTE(nders @ Nov 19 2015, 11:21 AM) anyone got any experience with checking Unifi coverage? I check at official site, my house is literally metres close to where they say have unifi (i live in central park 3rd mile. unifi page say jalan rock commercial centre got). wonder if my house have... not in list though Try putting in just your house lot/number and postcode only. TM screwed up my Lorong name, hence it is impossible to find in the system.QUOTE(NubPro @ Nov 19 2015, 11:36 AM) That's what I did, but if it's not in the system correctly like my case above... |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 23 2015, 01:44 PM) Fuu.. Upgrade from VIP10 to Advance30 but my speed are below par. Never hit 3Mb/s in IDM download, constantly 2.4Mb/s - 2.7Mb/s! WiFi, using TP-Link's TL-WN722N w/ external antenna. Will connect this desktop with cable when I get the new router+switch.Colonel Cabuk your speed test result are impressive, can I know you did it via cable or wifi? |

QUOTE(fylon @ Nov 23 2015, 02:18 PM) Dang. Not sure if my parents is surfing / youtubing when I do speed test remotely. But anyways, thanks for your head up. Going back to test again tonight with direct LAN connection to see how it goes. Am using Asus RTN66U. I'm on Unifi's stock router, if that helps.Edit: Whats your IP range bro? My has been changed from 1.xx something to 118.xx since last night. I got the 1.xx IP range at first, then it changed to 175.xx after I turn the ONU/router back on (need to arrange some cables) |

QUOTE(junclj @ Feb 21 2016, 01:05 PM) The actual price for wiring is RM200 but now is free 15 meter. Standard installation is always free. QUOTE(junclj @ Feb 21 2016, 01:05 PM) He say no problem. Besides that, the guy say, since unifi cable is different from streamyx. They cannot just upgrade, they need to terminate my streamyx in order to install a new cable to my house. If I want to keep my current phone number, I have to add up RM1 extra phone rental fee in my future unifi billing. Unifi and Streamyx cable different, but it is you that must terminate your Streamyx account. No, you cannot keep your current phone number in the Unifi bill. You can, however, cancel your current phone plan and pay RM1 to keep the number in a separate TM bill. QUOTE(junclj @ Feb 21 2016, 01:05 PM) The fish? Fiber box like this also can ah? |
