I have never used openwrt, so not sure. But you can refer back to this post by aniep.

Btw, I got a new Unifi order and telephone number due to the blunder they made on my previous order. Hopefully it will be a problem-free installation.

Penampang, Sabah. Last 2 months TM called me and told me that unifi is available at my area.
checked coverage and saw that 8mbps is also available. will try to get unifi then. Thanks

Unifi got much better upload speed. Really useful if you want to send/upload hugh image or video files. And latency should be better too, at least from your house to the nearby cabinets.

no need to explain, lol. Celcom Home Fiber the ISP is based on Sabah only and soon will spread to Sarawak. So far west Malaysia don't have Celcom Home Fiber but only has 4G internet but I was read the news from Chinese newspaper about Celcom is planning to expand their fiber to west Malaysia in future. Unifi and Maxis are based on west Malaysia. What I know TM was pulled the undersea fiber cable from Johor to Kuching. Then pull from Sarawak from south until north then lastly is whole Sabah.

so what cable they use?

Celcom home fibre should has lower ping[I] and downlod = upload equal speed. Unlike Unifi, all the fibre in Sabah and Sarawak are pulling from west Malaysia with higher ping. Unifi in Sabah here are higher than 25, mostly are around 50.
Enlighten us please, we want to understand.

Why need me to explain so many times? You can ask Celcom provider directly. However, not all places in Sabah here got coverage. Only certain area such like Tawau and rural area such like Ranau etc. They don't expand to Kota Kinabalu and Sandakan because both towns were occupied by TM.

what? first say no need to explain, then say explain many times. it's alright, forget about the question. biggrin.gif
