QUOTE(biatche @ Sep 15 2014, 11:29 AM) Most sensible thread title. Not sure why 'dota2 on unifi' thread is suggested while others like 'massive lag' are closed. Ive merged all topics related to lag etc to this thread... Renamed it from unifi to a general thread to discuss all lags/servers/connection issuesThe topic is about lag, and not the service itself generally. But yes, what I do wonder is if there are people on unifi/streamyx who do not face this same issue. Only us? or everybody else too? |

for those using grey/silver D-Link modem (consider new)
Solution - The problem was due to a function from the router called Anti-Attack (under Advanced options tab) which appear to block several IP and port protocols. Disabling this seems to clear the problem as I have yet to see negative effects of disabling this system. credits to http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/show...d.php?t=3251373 |

goodday folks.
I planned to upgrade my 1mbps streamyx soon. So i've a dilemma in choosing between streamyx 4mbps and unifi VIP5. Whats your take on it? My only requirement is stable ping to enjoy Dota 2. |

QUOTE(Smurfs @ Oct 24 2014, 11:42 AM) goodday folks. I am not sure whether is it because of my router or my location, but unifi VIP5 is rubbish for me. I am currently paying for VIP5 for watching youtube videos and my own telco for games cause Unifi is just too "FAST" too FURIOUS.I planned to upgrade my 1mbps streamyx soon. So i've a dilemma in choosing between streamyx 4mbps and unifi VIP5. Whats your take on it? My only requirement is stable ping to enjoy Dota 2. |
