i want ask the senoirs who living on campus about the meals...
are you guys eat at outside every meal or cook it by yourself??  smile.gif
*
Hi,
Mostly, we eat out.

I think that most students who stay in campus tend NOT to cook. Probably a small portion of them do cook.

Anyway for those staying in houses outside campus, there are quite a number of them who cook at home as it is healthier, cheaper and taste better.

Hi, I just want to know about the safety around the campuses. I have heard quite a lot of rapes cases that happened there. Can anyone please clarify?
*
Omg...
Erm, I really didn't hear about this before. Rape cases are definitely unheard of to my ears so far. If you are staying on campus than you are really safe. As for off campus, if you stay at the housing area near the campus, might be a little unsafe.

But if you are staying at Bandar Sunway Semenyih, it should be a little safer than the houses near the campus.

Anyway, you have a cool blog over there. You planning to take IT?

Then again, I heard of one case in BSS where the girl almost got raped. sweat.gif
*
Wow, that's quite scary.
I guess BSS is not that safe as I though it is.

Probably if you stop like with 1 semester left, they might refund you the one semester only. But I am not sure with this. You better double check.

Wearing? Nope. You can wear ANYTHING.

anyone live in the campus...can tell me have to bring what..like pillow, bed sheet, blanket??? please  biggrin.gif
*
All the basic necessities I guess. Yeah you need to bring your own pillow, bed sheet and blanket. They don't provide.

Bring along your clothes, stationery and if you have a laptop, just bring it over. A pendrive is a must. Dictionary? Basically what a student usually needs.

Even though you forget to bring anything, as long as you have money, you can buy them here. So no worries. Only things which has your sentimental value will have to be brought.

Anyway, for those who want to have an SLIGHT (not detail) insight of how our teaching block looks like, you can check out my blog.

If they reject, they will let you know that they are rejecting it. Anyway when is the commencement date for foundation? April what?

Trying calling them up to see what's holding them back in your application.

Yup that is correct. There will be no statement saying that you are either from Malaysia or UK. It's just University of Nottingham.

Sounds like there isn't enough equipments for everyone? How about the swimming pool? Do a lot of ppl use it?
Oh btw, from what I read from this forum, the internet connection there seems bad. If I want to subscribe my own broadband? Does anyone have any recommendations? Celcom? Digi? Maxis? Izzi?

Thank you.
*
Swimming pool, there won't be say until very pack, but every day should have people. Unless occasionally Frisbee club members want to play Waterbee there. Then you can see many of us there playing.

Internet, hmm. If you are staying in the hostel, you can only use their Broadband service. No maxis allowed. Alternately, you can use Izzi, since it only works on wireless card, but I am not sure how good is the reception at semenyih.

You can apply for TM Hotspot, which you can use at buildings on campus, but not at the accomodation. The downside is that you need to travel to the yellow colour building to use internet instead of having privacy at your place.

Yeah the one year thing for business students seem a little unfair, but it's due to the limited seats in the UK.

Anyway you are going for one year right?
