Hi guys, planning to change my rubbers, any recommendation for 225/40/18? never survey tyres for 1 year edi so not sure which is the good ones now. around 350-600? been using Nexen N8000, I find it ok, so anything within that range I am fine with it.. Been looking at:

1) Toyo T1R
2) Toyo T1S
3) Nexen N8000
4) Roadstone N3000
5) Falken 522
6) Yokohama ARO-1

Kindly recommend even if those are not in the list. Thanks!

Good Year Eagle F1 D5, I'm using it now but in 17, but probably will go over your rm600 a little bit. Good dry & wet grip, but just a little noisy.

If want cheap but still very good/the same class, can try GT Radial HPY, the spec is comparable to F1 (tread wear 300 & traction AA) but much cheaper and it's asymmetric.

wow thanks.. just got offered Michelin PS2 for 680/pc 225/40/18. worth to take or go for T1Sports?

Michelin should be very good, safe choice. But the T1S spec on paper looks damn good with low treadwear rating (indicating soft compound for good grip), AA traction, and seems lightweight too. It maybe more comparable to PS3 than PS2. I cannot say if it's really that good cause I've never used Toyo before but initially this was one of my first choice to try before I bought the F1. Maybe you try it and give us your review.

hmm as far as i know.. the PS3 is the replacement for Pilot Preceda 2, while the Pilot Super Sport is the new Pilot Sport 2. The PS2 shud be more superior over the PS3 currently..

No, PS3 is superior to PS2. It's stated in Michelin website. Their level is PSS, then PS3, then PS2.

lol, ure definitely wrong. I am absolutely sure the PS2 > PS3. price wise and also performance wise. Usually high end tyres dont come with small sizes. the PS3 does. the PS3 is more for the mass market and comes with sizes from 15 inch iinm. whereas the PS2 and PSS starts from 18inch onwards. even all tyre shop says PS2 > PS3.

Yeah maybe cause the price seems higher too apparently, but it's mentioned that PS3 actually has better grip and shorter brake distance in the wet than the PS2!

It seems the PS2 is more optimized for dry performance while the PS3 is more all rounder hence has better wet performance maybe with trade-off in slightly less dry grip and comfort than PS2.

With the difference in price, I'd probably go with the PS3.
