QUOTE(TakoC @ May 13 2013, 09:35 PM) Shortlisted 3 global funds. i entered AGE and EI GL MY both same time, top up same amount thru RSP, guess what? AGE is giving me profit, EI GLMY still struggling.. GL holding those big cap fund but dunno why cannot perform.. especially when the msia rm strengthen, then drop from profit 1% to -3%.. i guess it will bounce back when msia rm goes back to normal, but GL main holding GE, C, Ebay owes up down, up alot, down also alot.. so dunno le.. AGE maybe very diverse so not so unstable. Like pink said earlier, i believe AGE is a good fund to hold for long term.1. Alliance Global Equities Fund Returns seems fine. However, not really liking their holdings (electronics, manufacturing). Unit price seems a little too high now. 2. Eastspring Investment Global Leaders MY Fund Not much to say about this fund. Remain neutral. The global fund FSM reckon to me. 3. Pacific Global Star Fund My favourite global fund of all due to their large holdings in food beverage and tobacco. Unit price is low, good to purchase in. But the unit price drop not due to distributions, which means the performance drop. A bit skeptical to buy in this. Global fund investors, would appreciate your opinions. Still learning. What are you guys holding? Share your thoughts? This post has been edited by ben3003: May 13 2013, 09:40 PM |

QUOTE(Pink Spider @ May 15 2013, 09:17 AM) Asia Quantum sudah lama overweight ASEAN markets lo Hwang should update their fund factsheets la.. normally how often they update it?I place my re-balancing call at 10%+/- off target allocation. Talk for fun only la Wong Seafood Just to point out that Asia Quantum is really an amazing Ponzi-like fund FSM usually delay 1 day at most |

QUOTE(Kaka23 @ May 17 2013, 08:57 AM) Simple ROI doesn't factor in time, if your ROI is 10% but you holding it for 5 years, it still not beating conventional fix deposits. oh IRR is basically annualized return? So longer i hold, the more accurate it is?IRR will factor in time of holding in your return. Annualized.. |

QUOTE(wayne84 @ May 20 2013, 07:48 PM) Actually it makes me more worried and not dare to top up since its getting hot n hot... i keep on top up my fix income portion and lost direction of when to buy in Malaysia equity fund as well as top up any equity fund since market always hitting all time high. Finally go in balance fund osk kidsave trust... i believe small mid cap is pretty good now cos u see now china is mostly big cap up and down much.. msia also doing very good. Msia mid small cap also doing well, US also when the world economy is like growing, the crash cycle still not yet come, still have 4-5yrs if according to trend haha.. china tighten policies mostly affect finance and property sector, others doing not that bad. This post has been edited by ben3003: May 20 2013, 08:01 PM |
