I did CKA before investing. Basically just need to gather some info on your knowledge regarding UTs. Assessment was fairly okay. Got approved within a few hours.

QUOTE(David83 @ Apr 19 2013, 09:37 AM) CKA stands for Customer Knowledge Assessment that is required by MAS (Monetary Authority of Singapore) before starting investment. Just need to answer some simple questions that is related to your investment experience, working experience and education qualification. If you fail, you need to get advice before starting to invest. Of course that applies if you want to invest in Singapore. Not only that, to open account need black and white, need to let them see you in-person and gather information before they approve your account opening. When I open account with FSM MY, not so strict |

So far most of the funds are in red due to SC.
Only Eastspring Investments Equity Income Fund and kidsave generates positive return. CIMB-APDIC red due to recent distribution. The worst performing fund would be global stars. -11.24% returns |

Yes I would still top up PGSF even if under-perform in the short term.
UTs not for short term, long term mah.. top up now as NAV lower, thus reducing average cost per unit |

Guys, would like to ask about benchmark.
http://www.msci.com/resources/factsheets/i...dex-jpy-net.pdf Take this benchmark as example, from where can conclude that the market is high and not advisable to top up for now? |

If P/E ratio > Fair P/E, it means we are exceeded the fair performance?
Then P/E ratio < Fair P/E means that there is room for future growth ka? Dividend yield leh? See past dividend distribution? For fund that do not distribute dividend, see capital gain over the years? This post has been edited by jerrymax: Apr 26 2013, 11:00 AM |

See the Japan fund now spiked so high, from Dec 2012 until now. Then again, FSM rated 3 star for Japan region.
Do you focus on single Asian country fund? Sorry if this question has been asked. P.S from your signature using lipper ratings to see fund performance, do you consider morningstar ratings as well? This post has been edited by jerrymax: Apr 26 2013, 11:39 AM |

QUOTE(yklooi @ Apr 29 2013, 10:27 AM) can i confirm, FSM in Malaysia only charges the Sales Charges one time only...and the purchased funds in the investor a/c are no more charged no matter how long it is? except for some funds that has exit fees when redeemed. The platform fee introduction is only meant for FSM Singapore.i found this below from the web,,,it is regarding the platform fee in FSM?? http://jadedjeremy.blogspot.com/2010/04/de...dsupermart.html |
