Seems the bombinh doesnt scare them

Bombing is an isolated case and shouldn't affect the stock exchanges unless it's as big like 911 incident.

We were expecting a huge drop in Asian ex Japan market yesterday but too bad that in the 2nd half there was loss reversal due to Yen weakening. Most markets closed in green or flat. Therefore, I didn't shop for any fund.

Today Asian ex Japan is broadly up due to optimism from US market with gold rebounce. I also didn't shop today.

Let's see tomorrow and Friday. laugh.gif

Haha.. I also was thinking to wait tomorrow or Friday. But my instinct say but today as tomorrow will still go up and up till Friday!

That is the fun and thrill thing about UT. Few days wont hurt as much as direct stocks...
*
My guts also tell me that it'll be up tomorrow and Friday. It's OK. I just hold my shopping at the moment.

I see many are buying Ex Japan funds but.....

Fund Managers Say Goodbye China, Hello Japan.

Growing investor bullishness over the outlook for Japan's economy is being met by evaporating optimism for China, whose equity market has been among the world's worst performers this year, according to the latest Bank of America Merrill Lynch fund manager survey published on Thursday.
*
Japan has been pretty bullish for the past few weeks.

Asia ex Japan doesn't necessary to be heavily in China/Hong Kong.

Yes but Japan equities are pretty volatile and its only nation has no faith over Abeconomics.

I did CKA before investing. Basically just need to gather some info on your knowledge regarding UTs. Assessment was fairly okay. Got approved within a few hours.

Portfolio took a big hit today. From a XIRR high of +9%, its now dipped to around 4.75%, mainly due to big drops in my Aberdeen World Equity Shariah Fund and OSKUOB Emerging Markets Bond Fund.
*
My Aberdeen World Equity Shariah Fund also got a hit of -2.1% of ROI as of today.

What's this annual trustee fee thing? Why always some huge number.
*
Trustee has a role in mutual fund/unit trust.

Trustee fee is part of the management expenses which you can observe in the financial statement under MER.

I make my payment using MBB and mail them the snapshot of the transaction receipt on top of the putting email address, order number and FSM account number in the Fund Transfer details.

Usually, they will reply and perform the update in their system.

Guys, those that have AmAsia Pacific REITs, how much % it took of your portfolio?

Mine currently about 4%++ of my entire portfolio, and 10% of the equity portion of my portfolio.

I see FSM "Aggressive" Recommended Portfolio only allocated 8% for it. hmm.gif

Looking at its recent fact sheet, it has underperformed its benchmark for past few months already.
*
10% with ROI: 14% and XIRR: 20%

My XIRR also 20% biggrin.gif

Yes. My total cost for unit trust portfolio is < 20k. My II for this fund is only 2k.

10% of my unit trust portfolio is normal as I don't lump my FD into this pie chart.

Off-topic a while:

Dave u had Public Growth Fund? Is it something like Hwang Select Opportunity Fund, i.e. 70% Malaysia up to 30% Asia Ex-Japan?

My friend had invested in it years back, lump sum. He's asking me can keep or not. But looking at its performance chart and Lipper rating...I'm not that positive. What d'ya think?

Don't have. Sorry, all my PM funds are originally offshore. Now the remaining three in PM are still offshore after sold off PSMALLCAP.
