Turn off laptop, unplug the power, then insert the battery into the battery compartment?

When i connect the PC to the power supply, out goes my battery... I don't wanna risk the battery having a reduced lifespan because of constant "charging"...

i always unplugged my battery when finish charging...the thing is...i take the batt out when the lappie is still on....which mean i have to lift the lappie a little bit to push out the battery.....izzit ok to do that???i afraid later hard disc problem coz maybe its still spinning when i lift the lappie....or other component damage cz i read somewhere that pc component have to be in static condition when its on....

I don't think lifting up a laptop or tilting it will damage the components. After all, laptops are designed to be mobile. As for removing battery while the laptop is still running, I've no clue. Never tried that before and probably I won't do it.
