QUOTE(Lego_Jason @ Mar 14 2013, 03:44 PM)
Hi Maxi bro,

Thank you! I wish I could sapu all the themes but this is a very capital intensive hobby! lol!

What got me back to Lego in a very big (and crazy) way was the Modular Buidings and RC trains, they are perfect for City building!  biggrin.gif

This year I will most probably start to put my Modular Buildings together and set up my little Lego city. Right now my Modulars are all over the house. My biggest challenge will be to create an interesting terrain and not just a flat street scape with base plates. I want subways, elevated train tracks and a mountain pass for my trains! Probably too ambitious but no harm dreaming right?  whistling.gif

Besides Modular Buildings and trains, I also collect the minifigures series. Right now I have complete boxes Series 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, and 7. Series 2 on its way. rclxms.gif

I'm also a little into Star Wars but there are just too many sets to collect so I just go for the classics like X-Wing, Millenium Falcon and Tie Fighters. I like some of the UCS sets and definitely this year I will be getting the UCS X-Wing!  biggrin.gif

Technic also catches my fancy and I have two very nice technic sets: 8110 Mercedes Unimog and 8043 Motorised Excavator. My Lego Technic acquisition target this year will be the massive 42009 Crane! thumbup.gif

Well, I guess this is the second part of my intro!

My apologies to everyone for starting off my participation in this wonderful community with my offer to order sets, I am in the midst of finalising my order so thought I could help. I don't want to give the wrong impression that I'm trying to do business here. Everyone knows the USA and EU pricing so there's no way to profit from this. To me the real money is in collecting rare and very sought after sets.

Once I learn to navigate my way in the forums I will help to do mass orders for the benefit of everyone. smile.gif

Cheers!

Jason

Hi bro,

I have no problem revealing the price, everyone knows how much it is retailing in the USA and EU anyway. But from the looks of it this thread is not for soliciting business so I'm still learning to navigate myself around the forums... For your benefit I would hazard a guess 10211 Grand Emporium should be around RM700 or a little over that... Please don't hold me to that! It all depends on the charges that I have yet to be invoiced!

Hope that helps. smile.gif

Thanks Jason, let me give it a thought and get back to you. smile.gif

Actually I was at 1st Avenue Parkson yesterday.

They do have some 2013 creator set, and minimal LOTR and Ninjago (some tank vehicle).

I noticed that there is no orange tag on most of the creator set so not sure if they have 10% for it.

Ok..another upcoming community bulk thingy....
Based on the list i gather from forummer, here are the things i considered bring in :
Winter Village Cottage 10229
Star Wars Millennium Falcon 7965
Creator Pet Shop 10218
Creator Grand Emporium 10211
Monster Fighters Haunted House 10229
Palace Cinema 10232
Arkham Asylum 10937
camper van 10220

Generally, i have the idea of the price for community bulk. Special price are given to recurring forummer who tumpang & buy many stuff... thumbup.gif
Im still not sure the final price, but hopefully its cheaper... tongue.gif

Hehe.... Finally!

I do travel down to KL from time to time.

But bringing up all those sets to Penang will be difficult for me since I take flight most of the time.

Let me see if I can work out something, let's chat during our meet up session.

Regarding the community bulk thingy :

Sorry for still not confirming the final price. Thats because i still dont have the final price. tongue.gif

Those who can't wait, you guys can just buy from other seller or retail. I dont want you guys to loose other offer just because you are waiting for the bulk price... blush.gif

It would be nice those who want to tumpang for the community bulk post something here... thumbup.gif

It wouldn't be a community if you guys dont share opinions, info, loots, haul... laugh.gif  tongue.gif

I think Green Bricks Asia selling Arkham Asylum for 700. Thats i think a good price if you don't want to wait long.

Those who manage to find GE or Pet Shop around 700, you guys should also think about it, its also not a bad price.

Those who PM me and i still haven't reply, im saving up my battery & will reply soon.

I think i forgot to mention that I also will bring Fire Brigade & Town Hall.

But, since i bring variations, i cant bring so many sets. Maybe 1 or 2.. tongue.gif . Im still testing bulk order.

Anyhoo...

Have a nice Monday...!

Guys, what're your expected pricing for expected gathering?

I have ways for getting Lego at reasonable price, and not through me. You can get it yourself as well. Just sharing.

Problem is that I don't want to spoil current seller's price.
Should I share the method publicly?

I will be hunting for this set 42009 later this year, most likely when overseas. Not sure will/can do CS or not, as I think it will be big box like 8110/9398. Hope Lego will shrink their boxes as what they release in news.
Let's see how it goes along ... icon_rolleyes.gif  once the pricing is out.
9398 is still newly-released set, availability is easy. The good parts are the servo-motor (auto-align), v2 infra-red module that don't eat up power, and the crawling part - going to get outdoor (not advisable) soon ...  rolleyes.gif

Last night I finish the bottom-chassis. As the name says, the speed is really crawling  laugh.gif  The turning radius is not great. But the mechanical, gears, I'm impressed and can learn from there for MOC.
Anyway, I just ordered XL-motors and will try mod into it for more torque and climbing/crawling power (not speed).
Also plan to mod the battery pack. Currently using rechargable sanyo eneloop with 6x giving out 7.6V only. Plan to mod to 7 or 8x to give out 9-10V. Not yet try my Duracell AA.
Another thing to mod, is to find RC toys tyre. Want to change to more aggressive, softer material (better grip) and bigger tyres  brows.gif

No video yet. I'll try make a video of it pulling my Unimog which I'm planning to motorise also in future.
Seems like quite a few Technic fans active here. Perhaps we can group some names for ROI (register of interest) first, then easier to get it done later. 42009 launching in Aug.
hmm.gif  With the 2x2 or 4x2 brick idea on Ikea frame , why not use dremel-drill the bottom of the brick to clear some area, then stick a small strong-magnet (neodymium) sideways there ? Then the brick itself is a fridge-magnet and can mount minifigs.  icon_idea.gif
Of course, compared to the frame, this will be dusty/oily in the kitchen, but easy-playability for extra minifigs.
*
I have all them RC components ready for my Unimog. All I'm lacking is gears, need to gear it down to reduce the load on the XL motors.
