QUOTE(ronnie @ Mar 1 2013, 12:39 AM) nope, only saw the creator green mech. QUOTE(daydreaming @ Mar 1 2013, 07:42 AM) yeap, actually is 15% for all toys. that doesn't happen very often Even after 15% discount still not much difference compared to our lyn sellers. Most of the good stuffs would be gone less than a week, demand definitely will still be therebut thanks to that, i have to conduct mini sale for my items also =_= maybe i shld go stock up from them on some stuff. hohoho |

QUOTE(Mr. Alby @ Mar 1 2013, 09:17 AM) i believe scalpers will not make a lot because they still need to compete with retail like brick boys which offer 10% all year long (with membership)an example using Lego 75002 AT-RT Aeon Price RM 129.90 (RM110.40 after 15%) Brickboy Price RM 129.90 (RM116.90 after 10%) LYN Price RM110.00 ~ RM120.00 Unless they want to make the RM6.90 or RM10.00 then i dont have answer for that QUOTE(Chaud @ Mar 1 2013, 09:47 AM) getting less and less every minute This post has been edited by kaneshiro21: Mar 1 2013, 09:59 AM |

QUOTE(daydreaming @ Mar 1 2013, 09:57 AM) yeap, it's actually quite competitive for some sets. for example DUPLO, with 15% discount, is even cheaper than some of my cost for certain sets. bring in those high demand series like hobbit, star wars, super heroes notice that ALJ normally mark up those series a bit higher than city, duplo, creator |

There are few part that is particularly hard to find. BTW how many of the brick you purchase is a used one? Will there be any different between used and new parts? i buy both used and new, if you were to ask me, i see no difference QUOTE(maxilife1 @ Mar 8 2013, 03:29 PM) thanks! congrats on finally getting it done. there are no words to describe the satisfaction when putting the last piece thanks..yup looking forward to the TT session..but not a star la..cannot beat alan MOC ..heheh kaneishiro is the sifu..im only the students yes few parts are very hard to find in 1 store..u have to organize/distribute the parts between 2 or 3 stores to save on shipping cost.. mine 75% of all the parts are used parts..and the parts are in well condition. only some dust here n there..since the tumbler is covered in black parts, so its quite ok to use used parts..cannot really seen the difference between new & used which version of tumbler? there are many versions in the internet..some small one also.. Good luck! and dont give up! come let me tempt you with this :- http://www.peeron.com/inv/sets/10179-1 |

QUOTE(aba9785 @ Mar 11 2013, 10:28 PM) i think u should hook up with kaneshiro21 for ur next MOC project haven't really confirm yet but 5k pieces is really not easy to get all from 1 ~ 3 sellers really need a lot lot lot of time to really search every store. maxilife, if you confirm on your MOC let me know ya. i might be using priority for big shipments, maybe can share a bit on shipping cost |

QUOTE(Bigfoot-X @ Mar 12 2013, 06:04 PM) Then I tell her it's my hobby and at least I don't smoke, drink or gamble and she's kinda ok with it. Was planning to concentrate on keeping my collection of LEGO real/realistic like Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. Ended up buying the Arctic Batman set QUOTE(elementz @ Mar 12 2013, 06:28 PM) +1 This post has been edited by kaneshiro21: Mar 12 2013, 07:30 PM |

should we be worry ?
The LEGO Group has announced plans to build and operate its own LEGO factory in China. The factory will supply products for the growing Asian market. Construction is expected to begin in 2014. “It is our strategy to have production close to our core markets in order to secure short lead-time and world class service to our customers and consumers, and it has proven a successful strategy. Asia – including China – is a future core market for the LEGO Group and therefore I am excited to share our plans for the new factory. Having full control of the production process is essential to deliver products of a consistent high quality and safety and in harmony with our values” says Bali Padda, COO and adds: “In addition by placing a manufacturing site in the region we reduce our environmental impact as we will reduce the need for transporting products from Europe to be sold in Asia.” Full story at : http://aboutus.lego.com/en-us/news-room/20...ctory-in-china/ |

QUOTE(maxilife1 @ Mar 19 2013, 11:32 AM) wow! so cheap meh! erm in terms of the quality? i think LEGO will monitor closely.. on +ve side, cheaper LEGO because reduce the cost of shipping? QUOTE(maldiniho @ Mar 19 2013, 11:34 AM) it's a two-edge sword imo. on one hand it should reduce the cost and hoepfully translate to lower retail price; on the other hand, maybe the quaity may degrade to give way for lower production cost as long as the quality don't degrade too much, i welcome this move so can buy more lego. anyway my legos are meant for display and i usually don't tear them down once they are assembled. QUOTE(Chaud @ Mar 19 2013, 11:34 AM) QUOTE(alanyuppie @ Mar 19 2013, 11:36 AM) what i am afraid more is the toxic. hopefully this does not happen like what happen with mattel few years back |

QUOTE(vey99 @ Mar 19 2013, 02:32 PM) That has nothing to do with the location of manufacture. When companies get greedy, things like these happen. If Lego decides to do away with their existing supplier and choose a new, cheap one without proper due diligence then the end result is us customer suffer from their greed. then let's just hope they don't get too greedy China plants are perfectly capable of making very high quality products, just a matter of whether the principal/investor decides to stick to their quality agenda or not. sorry for seriosecat post. |
