yes they can run it but it willl look like counter strike on the old HL engine. i've seen the screen on comps using 8600GTS and Dual core.............to be honest even with that setup the game look awfully crappy. they report getting 25 fps with no AA and High Setting. not ultra mind you..

gobsmacked! this is the most gorgeous game ever. i end up playing navy for half an hour and hunt down every patrol boat around. fun stuff

played with high setting 2AA at 1680x1050......sad to say it lags during cutscene! but the character model is just awesome! it looks like pre rendered CG all the time



i beached my boat so i use the jeep to push it back into the water. note the dead NK at the back..

im playing it on my second monitor now ( 17 inch). lower res so i will get plenty of performance gain there. i switch off AA. will post more screens

i'm cutting down all the tree. its obstructing the view! LOL

nope.im still using XP. very high is disabled on XP i suppose. so at the moment high setting is good enough for me. why am i still on XP? coz with vista some of the softwares i need to do my work cant run properly.

and is anyone mucking around with the sandbox editor??. i manage to found and fight, one of the aliens. so far nothing i do can kill it. it just stood there with a forcefield syrrounding it. here's a screeny







Question for Sandbox Editor Users..

how do you put in a US VTOL aircraft. i cant seem to do it. so far i only manage to pt in and fly the Asion Helicopter. it looks like a Mil Mi 24. i even tried to put in NPC.. still no joy. or is the snadbox editor which comes with the demo lacking the character models?

so anyone used the SANDBOX EDITOR yet? i change the entire lighthing scheme and sun orientation. now the island is on the NORTH POLE. the horizon is so low! you can hardly see the sun!!hahaha.......brilliant. the amount of editable parameters is astounding.



last but not least... the helicopter........

same thing happened to me. end up putting the ships closer to shore. put helos all over the place and let it rip.

inside the folder where you installed crysis there will a folder called sandbox2 installer. you can find the installer there. just install the editor in the same folder as crysis. then after installation go to the folder called BIN32. in there you will find an exe fild enamed EDITOR. have fun. just load the island.cry in there and go crazy

are all the asset intact? i find some of the stuff in the Archetype Entity missing. as i mentioned earlier i cant put in the US VTOL aircraft in there. even some enemy NPC is missing. whats the name of the KOREAN NPC in that list. i want to put them in and have a killing spree too

plus. is there a way to equip our character will rocket launcher and stuff. so far while demoing the map in EDITOR i only get the default weapon

barely since its not teh way it meant to be played i.e all its bells and whistle in full glory. just look at the screenies on page 28 or 29. the graphic looks like tomb raider 1.......soooo flat!

i only manage to spawn tanks , amphibious and APC

thank jack thompson for that! in fact i think the whole hot cofee bullcrap started the whole censorship in games. the new manhunt got banned too. to think that the gore is lesser than the first manhunt. how weird is that

yeah.. when i played SOf2 5 years ago the first thing that came to my hed was

" gee....when will CS have mods like this.. i love to pop some terorist heads"

and you know what. this is 2007 and SOF2 is still the only game that have realistic wounds and mutilation. you dont even see entry wounds or blood in crysis

nope.. more like no gore gen! ultra lame. they put all the physics and cool textures in the game to make it look real. and what makes the whole illusion on reality dissapear is the lack of blood and injuries

yeah...... funny that kan? waste so much money on how water shimmers and crabs/birds walk on the sand. but no balls to put blood in! LAME!!!!
