TSB says Nov 13 the game will be releasing. Not too sure about that. Also, if you guys are buying the ORI, make sure you get the Limited Edition, plenty of goodies.
Limited edition includes: "Silver Foil Cardboard" packaging (I can look at the box when I go to sleep... "Making of Crysis" featurette An exclusive vehicle (one of the developer's car model?) "Meet the Developers" vignettes with Crytek's lead designers Initial Crysis concept video Additional "key trailers" Show reel of concept and production artwork 16 page concept art book (I can read it as a bedtime book... Official soundtrack by composer Inon Zur All in all, been waiting since 2005. I remember end of last year asking TSB, when will Crysis be released... they said "Early 2007" WTH. Then I read somewhere, Summer 2007. WTH. Then finally, the demo was being talked about, and then November release date. Woohoo. And then the demo was delayed. And now... the waiting game is nearing its end. My heart is beating. My hands are sweaty. And my fingers are ready. And whoever that says this game isn't going to do well, **** *** Nvidia person here. ![]() |

OMG !!! 2 more days...
- 1 d 13:56:32.214 I have set in my mind the settings for the Demo for my system My system BTW has a 3.2Ghz dual-core processor, 2Gb memory and a 7800 GTX. Resolution : 640x480 (or 800x600 if this is minimum) Graphical settings : - Full, with no DX10 - After setting everything to the max, change draw distance (or foliage distance, or trees density) to half - Shadow distance (if available) to half My goal : To achieve 'nearest' vision high-quality graphics, meaning further distance will not have full graphics potential I vow NOT to... - enable anti-aliasing - enable V-sync - enable higher than 4X anisotropic By May next year, my PC will be full blown DX10 Vista rig. So, I am not that worried. In the mean time, its down to setting it all down BUT having the BEST possible settings while compromising here and there... (e.g I play DiRT at 640x480 with everything else maxed out, its uber fantastic! My heart is pouding... Please Nvidia, put Crysis demo on Nzone.com Please.... Please.... Please.... The demo could be released (for us) on Saturday. It's Oct 26 for them (12 hours difference)...
Demo has 1 level to play only! It has sandbox editor. It should weigh around 1.5Gb. |

Come on! Think about it... 12 hours difference between HERE and the US. We might be October 26, they are still waking up and smelling October 26...
I feel one thing; the servers are charging up for one heck of a download mayhem... FPS fans will rejoice (worlwide) tomorrow. Tomorrow for sure. Or perhaps late tonight (1am+) |

OK guys, heads up...
Crysis Demo running at 800x600, Everything set to High (highest possible for DX9), running in DX9 mode, and pretty much with 4X FSAA. In the game folder, there is a GPU benchmark test and CPU Benchmark test. I scored 18 fps in GPU, and 16 fps in CPU (average) My system: 3.2Ghz dual-core, 2Gb memory, 7800 GTX, X-Fi, Windows XP One word : Unbelievable The character's face are FREAKIN AWESOME !! I thought I will get jagged and ugly gameplay, but not bad. The game doesn't just run at 18fps.... it 'pauses' to load here and there. I recommend doing a full 360 degrees view before going to battle. The trees, the grass, and you might ask how detailed this game is? Picture this; seaside with turtles, seagulls, crabs etc.. And yes, you get to kill them. The nano-suit is ULTRA SEXY ! At night, it glows red ! I just love this game. But too bad for my system. I sincerely recommend C2D processor with 2Gb memory and a 8800 GTS. This post has been edited by Games For Windows: Oct 27 2007, 08:52 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

More screenshots...
Added on October 27, 2007, 9:14 am QUOTE(Clavicus @ Oct 27 2007, 08:46 AM) Holy crap! Your download speeds are blazing. Best i can get from the same link is 60kbps, with Flashget. Prolly gonna give FDM a try. FDM doesn't work? Copy the direct link into FDM... it should work. You also need to add 12 more sections to the 8 sections (total of 20 downloading sections). The default speed is definitely above 100kbps.EDIT: FDM doesnt work. I am using Streamyx 1Mbps... This post has been edited by Games For Windows: Oct 27 2007, 09:14 AM Attached thumbnail(s) |

QUOTE(Clavicus @ Oct 27 2007, 10:31 AM) OT: Flashget and FDM yields the same download speed. Guess its my place.. I already got 36% with Flashget, so i think i'd continue there. No... but I did drownBtw, nice screenies. One question, did you try drowning those NKs? a) A turtle (picked it up and tossed it hard into the ocean) b) Seagull (picked it up and tossed it hard into the ocean) c) Crab (::same: Picking up a creature and leaving it on the ground, it will still live. Picking up a creature and tossing it (even into water) kills it... There is one scene that scared the heck out of me... the early part. Damn !!! |
