QUOTE(ainnolj @ Apr 18 2013, 03:43 PM) afternoon guy, tq for info in this forum, although im not an active to reply but i like to read, lots of brand that u all use, but mostly its quite difficult to buy, like DG, only a specific shop sale it. not like Meg. hey there.. you can buy DG online like to ask for my new car, after washing with Meg GCS, and clay, i only use UQW, do i need any step further after wax? i'm a Meg user as well.. What i do is to wash, clay (if needed) and wax my car every 2 months. During my weekly washes i alternate between UQD and UQW as top ups |

QUOTE(ChiaKhai @ Apr 25 2013, 08:50 AM) Yea. its Ultimate Liquid Wax. yalo so its kinda confusing. Paste wax u rub it out of a container. ULW u squeeze out. haha.. So spray waxes work equally fine huh in Meg's Ultimate range, there are 2 LSP products: Ultimate Wax There are 2 types. One in liquid form (ULW) and one in paste form (UPW), but essentially, both are the same. Just in different form of presentation Ultimate Quik Wax This product has a different formulation from the one above. It is not as durable hence a good product to use during your weekly washes to extend your wax protection. |

QUOTE(KrisMas @ Apr 25 2013, 10:51 AM) Things are advancing. Manufacturers are now able to thin out the traditional 'thick liquid' sealants/waxes to become sprayable. I've tried Optimum Car Wax and CarPro ReLoad - both claimed to be a sprayable wax/sealant instead of just products for 'topping up'. I find that, used accordingly, they do last far longer than those that's advertised as a 'topper' like Meg's UQD/UQW or Duragloss Aquawax. thanks for the feedback.. wanted to order both from UltimateShine, but no stock for both products and UltimateShine no longer brings in Opt stuff.. hmm.. where else can i find these products? |

QUOTE(GRexer @ May 2 2013, 02:08 PM) Meg's WB. We are sharing the gallon down to probably a quart per person. please count me in on the WB group buy Actually, the WB is Alkaline based, it's caustic. And, yes, I would suggest APC is a better choice, if you want decently cheap and good, then give the OSREN Multi-Purpose Cleaner a good, very affordable even for the gallon. |

i managed to try out the OCW sample that was provided to me by Bro KrisMas. The only other spray wax that i've used is Meg's UQW. So i'm only able to do a premature comparison between these 2.
What i liked about OCW is that it is easy to use, just like the UQW, its just mist and wipe off. Streaking will be present if you use too much, so do not overspray. 2-3 sprays should cover one door panel. It also does not whiten trim. In fact it darkens the trim. I like this effect. Not able to see durability results yet to be honest, i prefer the gloss and 'darkening' of the paint effect of the UQW. But i'm willing to trade that for more durability. oh ya, i noticed that OCW has some larger white particles which are quite noticeable when sprayed on the paint surface. no biggie though, easily wiped off. QUOTE(Quazacolt @ May 12 2013, 12:26 AM) oh and eneos seems to have cheap meguiar's going around? QD for rm40, UQD for rm70, i bought an UQD cuz my turtle QD ultra gloss almost finish lol That is the standard market price for QD and UQD bro. Cheap would be a 15 or 20% discount on top of it not all megs are on bargain/cheap though |

here's my 2nd post on OCW. As you may have remembered, I've used OCW on 4th May. During the course of the week, there has been some pretty drastic weather changes. From hot and humid to sudden thunderstorms. Not too sure if these conditions are perfect for testing out the durability. So here's my observation:
Noticed good beading when it rains. Personally still prefer the more uniform beading of UQD/UQW but the beading shown here is pretty good as well. As the week progressed, the beading was still noticeable, but slightly deteriorating at the flat panels although it was still going strong on the side panel. Washed my car with NXT car wash (2 ounce to 2.5 gallons of water, added more water as i was worried that it will remove the OCW |

QUOTE(MyWifeCar @ May 13 2013, 04:46 PM) Bro, I have a member bring his own stuff and everything... and also wash himself in a car wash shop. i'm staying at condo as well, and there is only one small area for car wash and its always packed during weekends. Some blardy owners even park their cars there at 6:00 am and get their maids to wash it.. end up i wash my car when i go back to my hometown during weekends. but i may run out of that option soon as i'll be getting busier by mid year. so i too am on the lookout for a rinseless wash.. Just to give you an idea. Other than this, can't think of anything else to offer you as a solution. I understand the trouble of people staying in high rise building. |
