Yup, EVERYTHING needs to come off, wax, sealant, dirt, contaminants....everything. Need to polish also or else all the defects will be locked under the coating.

Next week ka....err...Balik kampung on Tuesday, so if Monday can la. If not you hold on and 'take good care' of it until next time la. And, last I checked, those bags don't come ina set anymore and are sold separately...still cheap though... thumbup.gif

ok noted bro KrisMas! aik~ ok ba i help u take good care of it first lulz. Ya need to get a bag or too -.- very hassle to carry them around lol...

Clayed the Rims, Meguiar ultimate polish, ipa wipe down, Meguiar ultimate liquid wax... About 1 hour per rim lol http://www.twitpic.com/d6eq5u

And this is the result: some really shiny and nice smelling Rims. And no I'm not kidding on the smell part rofl http://www.twitpic.com/d6hpt2

So next stop, ad08r installation biggrin.gif http://www.twitpic.com/d6hur7

replaced the drive shaft too because on hard cornering the nvh is just terrible. myr190 with 2 years warranty wtf? http://www.twitpic.com/d6hvj9

And finally, some extreme performance overkill as f*** tires on my slow stock ride XD http://www.twitpic.com/d6jsgl

Products used for this shot: Meguiar endurance tire gel, Meguiar ultimate quick detailer http://www.twitpic.com/d6kxm1

Also installed mcgard security lug nuts biggrin.gif http://www.twitpic.com/d6l6n7

Did some wheel/tyre cleaning over the weekend, have been untouched for many many weeks already.
user posted image

Starting off with some Sonax Full Effect and let it dwell for a few minutes.

After several rounds of cleaning with various chemicals and brushes.

Wheels are protected by Carpro HydrO2, probably the fastest and easiest LSP to use. Just spray it on wet surface and then spray over them with a strong jet of water to activate the protection. Takes probably 10 seconds to apply on each wheel.

Finally tyres dressed with Carpro PERL.

The place is a little difficult to find as the signboard isn't facing the main road. There's a small driveway at the place where GRexer has mentioned, and you access it from the driveway. Anyhow, their stock is quite old and there isn't many to choose (I got my DG Aquawax from there though, albeit with layers of dust sweat.gif)

I just bought a car with solid white.

First day I applied Polymer sealant from Perma Glass and I satisfied with the result.

Is there any tips to maintain the solid white colour and also to maintain is brightness.... without fading to yellow?

wash ur car frequently like at least once a week is a must. And wax or watever protection to slow down oxidize, imo lol.

ya.. it 100% the same.. can i ask y these mark where there? what did i do wrong tat the mark came out? do u have solution for it? thanks for the reply..
*
lol i have that problem too XD but not too headache abt it. How i prevent this is, frequent wash(i using sonax shampoo), frequent as in more than twice per week. I cured it with permanon's hecta, then rinse thruly with water, lastly with finishing wax, e.g. meg's gold class liquid wax. with this said, i don clay or polish to solve these damn dirt.

QUOTE(jyane)
why does the spot/mark appear the car?
my guess is that dirt build up over time, so another reason to wash frequently xD

QUOTE(TDUEnthusiast @ Dec 1 2013, 05:23 PM)
From my experience, you can use wax to remove it, although a better solution is probably to clay and then polish, or clay and wax if you do not have polish.
*
am too lazy to clay xD with this extra step i would took me more than 2 hrs just to clay, damned the size of my pickup truck! lol. cleaner wax/sealant may do the job, never try it tho.

Washing alone will not help, or at least it won't from my experience. I have experienced the black stains on my car hood quite many times as well even with recent waxing, but the wax is cheap. What I'd do is to take SwirlX (my polish) and rub the hood after claying till the dirt is gone, then put a layer of wax. I have switched to a better wax (or sealant to be specific) though and I haven't experienced such a problem, for now.
*
bro, what's the power sealant u using biggrin.gif

btw, jyane ya quite frustrated with the bonnet condition previously, so i decided to wrap it with 3m matte vinyl =P now i can put much lesser effort in maintaining the bonnet xD

Repaint eh? Those would need sanding and leveling. Not sure whether it's safe unless you're willing to risk clear coat 'puncture' or strike through.
