Really that great? How if compared it's durability with OCW?
Might get a gallon from next autogeek sales. brows.gif

I would say similar, if not more cost-effective. Buy a bottle at the outlets and see if it works for you before buying smile.gif

Meg's wash mitt, mahal weh. Jusco carries this RM10 wash mitt which looks EXACTLY like the Cobra Gold Plush Mitt, and it comes with a microfiber cloth for drying. Bought one pack in Pyramid, came back the next week and everything kena sapu off the shelf.

don't really have any good sealant lying around, however i do have megs ultimate liquid wax... i wonder how those fare in high temperatures? (over 300-400ish celcius lol)

QUOTE(Quazacolt @ Aug 1 2013, 02:18 AM)
will do haha

I doubt any wax would last at those temperatures... it would just melt off, especially on track tongue.gif

defo no, you'd need a jack stand/jack to lift the vehicle. even for workshop also same ma, the put a rubber block on their platforms.

this one isn't even a block, it's a piece of leather scrap/sheet.
*
Uh, don't get it. So after jacking up the car, I can place it under and it'll keep the car lifted?

i get it because my jack releases abruptly unlike the bigger (much more expensive) version at the workshops where they slowly twist the other direction for release.

what this happens is the car falls too fast and scrapes the chassis, paint/anti rust peeling.
so i get this rubber scrap to place on top of my jack/lifter, and the contact surface between jack/car is the rubber smile.gif
*
OK now I really have no idea what you just mentioned. You got a picture of it? smile.gif

Thanks alot bro. Looks like this brand is not very popular.  I tried it on my solid paint white and it looks good. I mean it can get rid of some of the tough dirt that normal washing cannot. That's y I am worried that it is a polish and cannot do so frequent. Actually me noob in car detailing. First time waxing and polishing myself. Took me 2 hours. Lolz. Should be done in 1 hour if expert dy.

Anyway thanks one again for the info.
*
Even washing my car takes me about 2 hours - besides the normal wash and dry I clean the wheels and the door sills sweat.gif

PG nope.

at least go for soft99 if you want to be cheap. those work, albeit too mild to do any serious decontamination. The bright side is that it's almost impossible to screw up with mild clays unless you dropped them and re-use or they are already too dirty to be used.
*
I first bought my stick of PG Clay even before I got my car... I've not used any other brands but it does do as advertised.

Then if compound removed the clear coat, the polishing and wax cant help to protect the surface?

Just now I try the scratch with my fingernail, can feel a little of deep but not that deep actually, but I would like to try it first hehe
*
If you aren't sure of how to polish a deep scratch like I am, you clean out the scratch and fill with clear nail polish (the name is contradictory, somewhat) and let it cure. This will keep moisture and dirt out of the scratch for several weeks, months even until you have time to rectify the problem. To remove the polish, just use a little bit of nail polish remover.

Ultimate wash & wax or Gold glass shampoo?

The former has wax, the latter doesn't. It depends on what you're looking for.

Personally I'd pick Gold Class between those two. Using a separate wax/sealant will give better result compared to any wash & wax shampoo.
*
I have both wash-only and wash-and-wax shampoos for the daily drivers - to keep the wax going longer, I use the latter but when I start afresh I use the former. Again, it depends on what you require and what you want to achieve.

Nop bro, You can notice my signature below its Saga FL 1.3

BTW, anyone bought Duragloss stuff from;

PASARAYA MEGAHERBS & FOOD SDN. BHD.
Lot 10991, Jalan SS24/28,
Taman Megah,
Petaling Jaya, 47301,
Selangor D.E.

I cant locate the shop exactly at where?
*
The place is a little difficult to find as the signboard isn't facing the main road. There's a small driveway at the place where GRexer has mentioned, and you access it from the driveway. Anyhow, their stock is quite old and there isn't many to choose (I got my DG Aquawax from there though, albeit with layers of dust sweat.gif)

QUOTE(kww @ Oct 31 2013, 12:42 AM)
I just start to pickup this hobby, no super duper detailing work that I will do, but just want a clean and shinning car, need some sifu advise if i done something not right as my wax didnt last more than 2 week, here are the thing i do:
1. rinse
2. Wash with some un branded shampoo got from hypermarket
3. Rinse
4. Clay with 3M clay bar, use the shampoo as lubricant, go through the surface genially until no more roughness is felt when the clay was rubbed over it
5. Wash
6. Rinse
7. Dry
8. Apply DG Aquwax 951 on a dry MF towel and wipe it on the surface
9. Buff after 5minutes with MF towel

My car was park outdoor all the time, and is raining almost everyday in KL. I think the shin, smoothness and water repel effect is not that good after 1 wash or 2 weeks. Is there anything I done wrong? Or I should use better shampoo?
*
DG Aquawax does not need to flash like traditional waxes - just spray and wipe off. If you have sprayed too much product then use the reverse side of your MF to wipe off the residue.

Also, I agree with chongkiatz - cheap no-name shampoo may strip off the wax. I would recommend our very own Malaysia's Osren Bubble and Wax if you're on a budget, which comes in 4 litres at a very reasonable price.

If I were made to choose between the three, I'd go for Sonax. All three has their own strong/weak points but Sonax fairs better overall.

CarPro Reload isn't available on any stores that I know of but you can find Sonax & Megs at ACE. I've even seen Sonax at Tesco Shah Alam.
*
The availability of Sonax seems to be sporadic - I remember coming across a few Sonax products at an ACE outlet but they looked old and crummy.

Looks like I will be trying their BSD after this biggrin.gif

ish damn tomorrow i wanna go checkout at homefix man... have been waiting for their sales a long time, if wanna self do full detailing i think budget need around RM3XX and above. sad.gif

just want to ask opinion, those deal site can be trusted or not ? i just saw full detailing deal there using Meguiars forĀ  RM48 wonder if it's too good to be true ?

anybody try before deal like this ar? if really RM48 no hanky panky really don't mind for once to give car full treatment. starting to build up a lot of tar at the bumper below tyre there hard to clean.
*
I'd really be in doubt... with the amount they're getting they're bound to skip a few steps here and there. To the untrained eye your car will definitely look better than before but it's in the other details that they would probably miss out.

I know most detailers advertise that they use Megs but in reality it's only on certain products that they use. Quite difficult for RM48 to pay off their employees, maintain the rental of the place and to purchase their items, no?

Also, nothing beats DIY wink.gif

Is it a must to use sealant + wax ?

Either one will suffice but topping wax on sealants will provide the most protection.
