very new to this.. and looking for MTB mostly for jaunts around Bandar Utama, Tropicana area (no serious off-roading, at least not yet..)

I only plan to spend around 1.4k tops. So far I saw to bikes that caught my eyes

Lerun Evo 30- comes with SRS SCM fork, Shimano Acera shifter

KHS Alite 100- uses the Microshift TS70 shifter (not sure how it compares with the Acera), not sure about the fork as it's not stated.

The Lerun retails for about RM1.5k but i think can nego for less, the KHS i believe less than RM1.2k.

Need advise from sifus which is the better buy, or if there's a better buy out there. XDS? Exitway?

yup I did actually.. indeed its very informative, so knew to lookout for types of fork etc..

I guess now its just the color eh.. :-)

The KHS does look nice, but wasn't sure about its shifter compares to Shimano's.
