I dunno who said DSG little engine braking la, I only know it brakes more than the Fofi. Maybe "little" is a relative term 

As for my friend, I have no idea. He just told me he race down the hills and at certain points he was engine braking at high speed. By the time he reach the kaki bukit his DSG koyak dy have to tow.
