Urs CVT ah? While modern engine doesn't require warm up, our CVT does, particularly the clutch or clutch pump. That is why when moving from a cold start, the whole car can be extremely jerky due to the cold clutch and in extreme condition, the engine stalls.

That is why in always reverse park my car, so that in the morning, I can straight away put in D and go cruise along at 1500 rpm till the temp bar shows three. I notice if one would reverse out the car in the morning, it will be easier to stall the car due to the terrible 'choking'. I have once encountered my rpm goes below the 500 mark and then there was a one second complete silence under the hood before the engine comes roaring to life again, with the rpm shoots up to 2,000. Lol

I have no evidence or documents to support this theory, just an insight as an owner so it is up to you or anyone else who is reading this to believe it or not.
