Since your budget is RM500 I will recommend you to get the ASUS one as well.
More trusted brand. |

Asus Memo Pad only have 1 core processor, it will choke when play 3d game even not so high details game. Ainol venus has 4 core but its graphic processor is weak. My suggestion, buy any china tab with 2 core rockchip processor and mali gpu. It will beat both device above for gaming. For me, I suggest for you to look at Vido n70s. Only rm3++. Good quality. |

My recommendation on getting tablet for kids is to look at the display. Some from China have very poor quality display and that spoil the fun for kids. so when buying make sure you switch it on and try to compare the display.
Young kids generally do not go for 'high cpu' game, so you can save some here. Another thing to look is google play availability as some china tablet are not google certified thus do not have google play and you will be stuck with china based app shop. |

To those suggesting the Asus memopad 7 and the Acer Iconia B1, have you guys actually seen the screen? TN screens on a 2013 device is inexcusable.
Get a Rockchip dual core. Be it the Vido N70S or the Pipo S1S. Gaming on these tablets are much better. The Asus is crippled with a single core processor, while the Acer is crippled with its 512MB RAM. |

QUOTE(ppy @ Jul 18 2013, 02:57 PM) I bought a tablet recently. My kids downloaded a lot of games and wall papers........when they applied one of the wall paper to the screen. The tablet jammed... couldn't work at all. I thought I could reset the tablet ...but there is no reset button. Since it was still under warranty, I just sent it back to the seller. |

The Asus is crippled with a single core processor, while the Acer is crippled with its 512MB RAM. I had a n70s been using for 6 months, no major problem only complain is the battery life quite short 4-5 hours +-, the screen's color is not as vibrant compare to other tab and build in speaker is bit soft . But Im satisfied for a RM300+ tab with antutu score of 12600+. Games like dead trigger, real racing 3 n shadow gun runs smoothly. Of cuz build quality wont be as good as memopad as it has some rough edges but im ok with it. But if heavy gaming is not yr thing then memopad is the preferred choice. |
