Anyone tried to link/stream movie before using the above method ? How's the quality ?

If i am running Media Center in Malaysia, can I watch US standard broadcast shows ?

or can i purchase movie's from it ??

any ideas guys ??

i don't think you can watch US tv broadcasts with windows xp mce. what the thing actually does is download tv guide from the net only, the broadcast is tuned from the tv card, be it analogue or digital. anyway, i dont hv xp mce, contact stringfellow for more info.

got astro EPG also whats the point? the MCE can't interact with astro decoder directly... the most u can get is video-in via composite/s-video only. and MCE can't even change the astro channel for u, so no automatic record. even if u hookup digital/analog tuner card also, still useless.... and no, u wont get fancy multiple small box channel preview from MCE, just single channel at a time from astro

You can change channel if you have IR Blaster (some MCE capture cards comes with it).
I wrote a little program that rips the listings from Astro's website and export it to XML. From there you can use a number of programs to import the listings into MCE EPG.

they put that feature in since WMP11... and the last dashboard update added the 360 side of the feature. i removed it already coz when u share, windows media connect runs in the background and i hv no control over it. i dont stream all the time and i hv limited ram, switched back to wmp10 + wm connect.

u can't copy any mp3/video/picture to the xbox360... for music: u need to insert an audio cd and let the 360 rip it.
