Any Lumia 800 owner here? How does it compare (aside from MP count)?

My old Lumia 800.

I bought a 32GB Transcend Premium or something for RM85. It has the highest rated speed among RM100 bracket lol. So far so good.

So after a few days (read:two) of use my verdict coming from Lumia 800 -

* Camera is awesome. With ProShot it's awesomer. Low-light performance is 1000% improvement over L800.
* Screen is ugly. The more accurate colours grow on me (and it's beautiful) but I do miss AMOLED's deep black. Resolution on the other hand is just hideous and the low ppi really shows. I would've preferred if they keep the whole thing smaller, like.. oh maybe Lumia 800.
* Weight is a little too light for the phone's size and my taste. It's missing that 'solid' feel and sports more of that 'cheap plastic' feel of some Korean phones. Maybe I'm just so used to paperweight phones.
* Not sure if it's app, OS or phone-related but I've had more crashes with this phone than my year-old L800.
* All in all, an upgrade.

Class 10. Rated speed 45MB/s or something. Bought it from Startec.

I think it's this one.

The higher speed ones are too pricey for me, but you can get something like SanDisk's 90MB/s card at RM150 for 8GB.

WhatsApp for WP is just plain horrible, that's it. Maybe Microsoft is not throwing enough money on the dev's way.

My Transcend is giving me SD card error on startup. Card works fine though. Any idea?

P.S - Boy Lumia 720 crashes A LOT.

Yeah I think it's normal now. Mine with location and wifi always on, ProShot, some other normal usage still can last 1 1/2 days.

One of my pet peeves with WP is its lack of small things like orientation-lock, call blocking, or multi-select on WP7. I realize that some developers just suck (looking at you, Whatsapp) but options like orientation-lock should be available from the phone itself as well.

Yes bluetooth as well. Actually in the age of wifi and smartphone, why not just enable sharing over wifi. Edit: Well what do you know, there's an app for that already. Although looks like it's in a broken state for now.

Mine is not from digimall or Lowyat yo.

Nobody knows how to fix the bloated "Others" . There's an app - Storage Cleaner but on Lumia 720 I've only be able to get a few MBs freed most of the time. Reading the comments, some users seem to be able to free GBs of space so I think it depends and YMMV.

Yeah the link is US store, but you can just click on "Go to my marketplace" or something like that "Check my Windows Phone Store" and it will bring you to MY store.

You can probably blame the app developers for that. But WP8 is still relatively new and evolving so hopefully they'll get their acts together.

You can change the store to Singapore or US, download the app and change it back later.
