hi guys, may I know the difference between these online cert with the cert we get from uni?

from opportunity point of view
*
Most of the online cert is just to show you have participate in the class.

However, in edx.org , you can pay some money and sit for the class FOR REAL. That mean, you have the do the homework, quiz, midterm and final. Then, you will actually get a letter grade (A or B or C or etc) . This cert can carry weight.

edx.org is a non-profit organization. I am not sure if the certification will have the name of the university on it because I have not paid money. But, I think you can try reading the FAQ or contacting them.

Since this is online courses, I'm not sure, but it doesn't seem to.

I am currently learning how to make website from codeacademy.com. I find the lesson very useful and systematic. I am currently learning jQuery and have finished learning HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

if you think that paying for the certs to help you in finding job, i do encourage it.
