QUOTE(ikram_zidane @ Apr 2 2006, 09:50 AM) that's a lil bit misleading in my opinion because Photoshop isn't a vector graphic based program. it's a bitmap graphic program that generates images via pixels.Illutrator/Freehand is a true vector graphic based program because it enables the ability to scale craetions via an algorithm equation. I'm not trying to prove a point but just explaining so others won't be mistaken that Photoshop can create true vector graphics. Unless in version CS2 Adobe has suddenly added that feature, i don't know coz I'm only using CS. Photoshop is capable of creating graphics that look similar to vector based graphics but is not considered vector. as to grunge in Illustrator.. I googled this. http://www.designertoday.com/DesktopDefaul...=18&itemid=1595 dunno if it'll help.. This post has been edited by etsuko: Apr 2 2006, 10:16 AM |

I'd scan in the cutout like image first.. without those dots (i think).. then maybe you could apply LiveTrace or something like that.. then seperate the layers into 1 black layer and the other is the cutout..
then you play with the options in Pathfinder for the right results.. |
