zio, you either post all your info in that other thread of yours, or here...NOT BOTH.

The next time I see the same redundant thing or blatant advertising being posted I'm closing this thread.
*
Before you go all out to accuse people of blatant advertising, I suggest you read the threads carefully.

1. This thread is about Toybox, announcing a place where hobby gamers can gather and any events specifically linked to us such as tutorials, workshops etc

2. The Settlers and Carcassonne qualifers is not, and I repeat, is NOT, exclusive to Toybox.

3. That thread in the Events page will contain all relevant info including other venues, dates and even the Nationals.

I am grateful that LYN has such dedicated mods to patrol the forums but before you start accusing, it is better if you start checking with the relevant parties before shooting off.

How would you like it if there are more than one thread discussing the same topic scattered everywhere? Redundancy is not illegal, it is frowned upon. I think some order is necessary for the overall enjoyment of the forum.

If you want to ask me stuff, you are always free to PM me. Let's not spam this thread with anymore unnecessary offtopic discussion.

zio, your explanation is valid enough. If you stick to that, then there will be no problem at all.

When I say blatant advertising, this was what I meant:

Understand that, and it was already noted, which was why the new posting I put reflected that I am not blatantly advertising.

Anyway, I am glad that this issue has been put to rest.

Super Munchkin and War of the Ring is now available for rent at Toybox!

Super Munchkin, just like Munchkin (the original), is written by Steve Jackson and it parodies the superheroes. A card-based boardgame, Super Munchkin is a stand-alone game, or it can be combined with other Munchkin games.

Previous sets have seen Munchkins taking on space wars, kung-fu warrior and creatures of the night. A fun game for 3-6 players, Super Munchkins allows players to become a Mutant, an Exotic, a Mystic or a Techno.

From the wimpy Bucketman all the way up to Big Ol' Planet Eater Guy Himself, you can battle dastardly masterminds, devastating monsters, and invading aliens from the next dimension.

The War of the Ring is an epic board game experience that allows its players to immerse themselves in J.R.R. Tolkein's classic story and experience its epic action, dramatic conflict, and the memorable characters of The Lord of the Rings.

While the Fellowship of the Ring advances towards Mordor, the Dark Lord Sauron tries to find the location of the Ring-bearer, and unleashes his armies against the last strongholds of the Free Peoples.

Ticket To Ride Now For Rent - Hop on to your trains!

Ticket to Ride, a multiple award winner, is available for rent NOW at Toybox. With elegantly simply gameplay, Ticket to Ride can be learned in 3 minutes, while providing players with intense strategic and tactical decisions every turn.

Players collect cards of various types of train cars they then use to claim railway routes in North America. The longer the routes, the more points they earn. Additional points come to those who fulfill Destination Tickets - goal cards that connect distant cities; and to the player who builds the longest continuous route.

Ticket to Ride author, Alan R. Moon said, "The tension comes from being forced to balance greed - adding more cards to your hand; and fear - losing a critical route to a competitor."

At only RM2.50 per head per day at Toybox, enjoy Ticket to Ride and other award winning games such as Settlers of Catan, Memoir '44 and other card-based games such as Super Munchkins and Citadels.

Yep, different shops. Toybox is Alex, and we have some remaining YoYo stocks such as the string and a few YoYos but unfortunately no more than that.

Hehe..not Alex here but a friend of his...part owner as well..Alex takes care of the place only on Sundays so feel free to visit him then or drop by and say hi to me (Nicholas btw)...I am mostly there on Saturdays smile.gif

No Warhammer or Mage Knights players have visited us yet, although we have a setting for such purposes. Hoping to start a miniature tutorial soon to attract new people smile.gif

We usually have a crowd on Saturday, weekdays are a bit quiet but occasionally we get a group who hangs out there.

Why dont you drop by this Saturday and we will be able to game with you.
