First up, let me say that me and a few friends are planning to set up a shop that deals with renting out board games. Of course, we also deal with Trading Card Games such as MTG, VS System, Pokemon, Yugioh and others.

Currently, our stock of board games are of the usual genre such as Hotel, Monopoly in Normal version, Star Wars and LOTR, Cluedo and a few more others. We are planning to bring in harder to find games such as World of Warcraft, Settlers of Catan etc. We are also looking into the possibility of renting out card games such as Munchkins, Killer Bunnies and a few more.

The pricing will be affordable and there will be ample of space for you and your friends to enjoy a fun day of traditional gaming. For miniature fans, we are also looking at setting up a miniature corner where you can have tables to play your various miniatures games.

All I am asking is that all you hobby enthusiasts share your feedback on whether you will be willing to visit such a shop and what you would like to see in such a shop. Suggestions on what board games to bring in would also be great for us.

Thank you for reading this and I hope that we shall see traditional gaming spreading its influence once more. By the way, the shop will be located in Petaling Jaya with easy access via LRT.

Thanks, fully understand that the interests may be dying now but we fully intend to get people interest again in such games...

Hopefully we will make it and hope to see you there once in a while even if not daily biggrin.gif

Starting a new business is never easy, I wish you luck. I can only say I'm interested in MTG. I don't play board/miniature games.

Thanks, we hope to run some MTG competitions, never possible due to lack of space last time. Hopefully, we can get it going this time around.

Toybox will be conducting tutorials for Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne every Saturday for new players to learn the game, in preparation for the qualifiers for the Settlers and Carcassonne Nationals at Pan Global Club.

If you are interested in the tutorial, just PM me and we can arrange the time for you.

For more information on the qualifiers, you can visit this thread:

zio, you either post all your info in that other thread of yours, or here...NOT BOTH.

The next time I see the same redundant thing or blatant advertising being posted I'm closing this thread.

Two threads talking about the same thing is called redundancy. If you want to post a convenient link, stick it in your sig and be active. Others will notice it then.
