That's not the case for most of Nvidia fans I know, EVGA is highly sought.

Both Asus and Gigabyte GTX 770 2GB are now in C-Zone price list. No price for Asus, RM 1999 for the Gigabyte

M$#%#$ F@#$@# so it is true the driver is the problem. I installed it since it came out. I never thought there's any problem, until I realized my setting in GRID 2 showed I run at 59hz, a quick google would show if it is a common problem with some version of nvidia driver. I'm downgrading it for sure, will not take the risk

So after moving back to 314.22, how's it? biggrin.gif I've just only completed my reinstallation of 314.22.
*
Why not going for 320.00? I'm so lazy to think of doing all the trouble to remove it.

I did the Driver Fusion and CCleaner way and clean installed 320.14, the 59hz issue still there, ran GRID 2 benchmark, min max avg fps increased by 3-4fps compared to 320.18. But the result is still lower than GTX 780 that someone posted it youtube with the same settings. Nvidia come on now !!!

"What you’ll need: A little bit of patience..!
*Compatible/Working geforce driver for you GPU extracted from Nvidia installer to a newly created folder on your desktop.
*Installed Driver Fusion, aka Driver Sweeper Link: http://www.treexy.com/media/30691/driver_fusion_1.6.0.exe
*Installed CCleaner Link: http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard

First: Boot into Safe Mode follow instructions below!
*Win7 -Restart PC and keep hitting F8 on your keyboard until you see an option to select Safe Mode.
*Win8 -Open Notepad, copy and paste the following command line: C:\Windows\system32>shutdown /r /o /f /t 00
-then save-as this text file with the following name onto your desktop: SafeBoot8.bat
-Now once you run this created batch file your PC will reboot into SafeMode Menu, select option 4 for Safe Mode.

Second: Once in Safe Mode Go to your device manager!
-1- Win7/Win8 hold down Windows Key on your keyboard & simultaneously press R, paste the following command and hit OK: devmgmt.msc
-2- Now expand Display adapters by clicking on the small triangle then right-click on your Nvidia GeForce GPU and select Uninstall.
-3- Then open Driver Fusion Utility and select/mark Nvidia Display & Nvidia PhysX & hit analyze, delete what ever it finds but don’t click on reboot just yet.
-4- Open CCleaner and scan registry several times until it finds nothing once finished reboot your Win7/Win8 PC back into Safe Mode.
-5- Repeat step 3 & step 4 above until Driver Fusion finds nothing, rebooting into Safe Mode each time until finished.

Third: Installing working driver from Safe Mode!
-Open GeForce Driver folder that you had created previously from an extracted driver at the beginning of this guide, and right-click on setup.exe & run as Admin
-Click Agree & Continue & select Custom/Advanced option & deselect everything that you don’t need or have use for like 3D crap but make sure you select clean install.
-Finish Installation and reboot normally this time back to your desktop and continue-on with your life

If a card really dead because of this driver problem and required RMA, I wanna see how Nvidia attemp to solve this, because waiting for RMA like weeks, put the owner of the card at the disadvantage because of the driver problem? RIDICULOUS !

Maybe a solution for those having problems with 320.18?

http://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?3...tion-as-well%29
*
This is assuming that the driver only causing problem in bf3, remember alot of other people experiencing other problems to the worst case of a dead card which I believe has nothing to do with FXAA setting.

but 650 can guarantee play any high-end games without lag?
*
Some people would prefer to play a game at it's max setting as the way it's meant to be played hence they spend on the most powerful GC which is not cheap, some people would want to play as smooth as possible with every restriction they have so they lower down the settings and all, which one are you? If you have some restrictions, it's always easier to check your budget, check which GC fits your budget, check youtube how the card perform on games you want to play, if you can tolerate it, go for it dont think twice biggrin.gif

don't think i will change monitor now as i just bought it early this year...btw is a samsung LED 24'inch monitor.

the reason why i wanted to change to high-end gpu is that my current 6870 is not handle well in bio shock infinite.

so i thought switching to 770 might be better.
*
If you only want to play Bioshock Infinite and want to use Nvidia card, I guess a used GTX 670 (RM700-RM800) should be ok and wise for now. GTX 7xx series just came out so price is still at its highest peaked. Then only upgrade to GTX 8xx series in the future.

24" is 1920x1200? Well, GTX 670 is the best deal. Or get HD 7970. Tons of used card for sell.
*
Most 24" is 1920x1080, only expensive IPS panel like from Dell Ultrasharp series has 1920x1200

QUOTE(Lynixx @ Jun 6 2013, 06:19 PM)
ok im kinda confused here, if resolution 1440x900 with 770 or 780, the performance will just as same as 6870?
*
Just think as this way, the higher the resolution, the harder it is to carry, and then about the case of comparison you mentioned, it means at the "weight" of 1440x900 a 6870 actually can perform at the most optimum the game could portray, means there will be no different if you use a better card. Assuming the game is not those extremely heavy games.

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Jun 6 2013, 06:52 PM)
Hi guys, ive been always wondering is it better to get a older more powerful card or a newer less powerful card

like a

580gtx vs a 560gt

since the price is almost the same
*
You mean GTX 580 vs GTX 650? It all depends in alot of things, as the priority to look at is feature i guess, both of those mentioned card is still offering the same feature, unless if the more powerful older card run only DX10 and the newer less powerful one can run DX11, Some people don't care about it, some does. The second thing is the price, we know already the older card has lesser "life span" as in lesser future proof. If the price gap can justify it, why not. And always make sure your PSU is sufficient, older more powerful card tend to require higher watt, older nm technology.

QUOTE(Lynixx @ Jun 6 2013, 07:30 PM)
oh okay....hope my i7-3770 can handle the pressure. blush.gif
*
I can assure you your processor can last you really long for gaming.

QUOTE(pali_5373 @ Jun 6 2013, 07:37 PM)
IS 3 GTX 670 4GB overkill on 3 x 24"?
*
Depends on what purpose, if it is gaming and it is Crysis 3 at max setting, 1x24" also it can't handle well lol

*edit: my bad, i did not see 3 GTX 670 4GB, this I have no idea haha

Does 3X 670 GTX have a better performance over a geforce titan?

what about price vs performance vs power?

Should 1 just get a titan instead? of 3X 670?
*
For comfortability I would never run a multiple GPU setup anymore, currently using GTX 690 (dual GPU, one board), and having 2 physical cards not only about microstuttering problem, but also heat and also blocking your case to have a good airflow, i can't think even of 3 cards.

QUOTE(Acid_RuleZz @ Jun 7 2013, 05:44 AM)
Even 2x 670 performance is better than a single Titan and a lot cheaper but with higher power consumption. You also have to deal with multi-GPU caveats like unsupported/poorly scaled games/microstuttering or higher casing temp if it's not blower type cooling fan.

Why not a GTX780? hmm.gif
*
+1

QUOTE(Lynixx @ Jun 7 2013, 07:57 AM)
if so then how come i found some games will lag one? erm,not to say lag but not smooth enough.

perhaps i'm too picky?
*
Depends on the game, you better make sure if it will run smooth in your next graphic card purchase, or else the purchase would be useless. And also good to make sure if really the games are heavy, just afraid you might have other problems. Maybe it's good for you to share with us full specs of your PC

QUOTE(fujkenasai @ Jun 7 2013, 09:07 AM)
Then what about games that do not support SLI like starcraft 2 from what i heard
*
I'm using GTX 690, playing Neverwinter online most of the time now, but somehow it looks alot smoother and nicer in my friend's PC using 7870XT with boost. I would avoid multiple GPU config for now judging from my personal experience smile.gif

I just received the RMA card, and do the testing, removed the driver and then remove the 7800GT card, and installed the GTX580, then installed then 320.18 driver and test with Borderlands 2... x wired look flicking and not really like artifacts appearing multi places when you look around in the game.

then remove the 320.18 and tried 314.22 also same thing happened.

now, reset the MB bios and format the hdd, with fresh installed windows with 314.07.... still in testing
*
Haha nice you took the risk for the sake of testing, I like this biggrin.gif
