If u like the phone, just buy it, stop whining about what the phone "does not have" and enjoy what it can offer. No phone is perfect and each phone has its unique selling point. There may be other reasons for not including certain features, perhaps legal grounds.

yup, am getting the phone too. but yet to decide whether i want black or white. initially decided on getting the red, but htc has removed the red version from their websites. been using a white galaxy note since jan 2012.

all software and hardware needs patent rights. if they dont own the patent they will have to pay for rights to use, which may take time (agree on royalty per phone sold, etc.) to have it included in the phone. no phone manufacturer wants a repeat of the apple-samsung duel.

why does the few of you keep on discussing htc butterfly in this thread? isnt this a htc one thread?

planning to get the black to replace my galaxy note (1yr 3mths old). love the feed feature and the aluminium body. samsung has disappointed me. i will not buy another plastic samsung device.

giovanni did not say it's the same material, he clearly means the process of coating the aluminium. please read others' comments clearly before you bash them.
