htc one really got me excited, been following its news every day...
just went tru the xda HTC ONE mega info thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2157153

found out about a few things

first, about the camera
ONE seems to capture at faster shutter speeds vs 920 at lower shutter speeds
so 920 results will be brighter, but then there will be motion blur (ie engadget comparison 2nd set, singer on stage)
also, using the oneX as comparison, oneX camera seems to capture same detail as iP5, as using the "auto correct" function in the Sense gallery will get almost the same result as iP5 straight-out-of-camera results, meaning that iP5 applies correction straight away whereas HTC you have to do it manually...
these are all results after researching done by a member on the XDA thread
and, since we have reason to believe HTC ONE camera will be better than oneX, I personally am optimistic about the camera performance

2nd, there are reports of HTC ONE using ddr2 ram instead of ddr3 ram for the GPU, causing about 30% performance reduction compare to other S600+ddr3 GPU.... but then some also say that HTC ONE has ddr3 GPU...
I would really like to get a confirmation on this, anyone has source? not that the 30% performance reduction is gonna make me go for other phones, S600 is still plenty fast & ONE still a phone i lust for... but knowing that we have the best of the best always feels good, no? wink.gif

hmm they didn't mention how they put colour on metal body? hmm.gif

duno like nokia n8 or not
*
its anodizing, which means color is infused into the metal, hopefully the layer is thicker than the iP5

Someone in xda already mentioned it is ddr3.
there is a mistake in htc official site.
S600 only supports ddr3.
*
what i read is s600 supports ddr3, but htc chose to go ddr2...
anyways, waiting for production model review *fingers crossed*

GUYS, GOOD NEWS
apparently, there is no GPU throttling in the HTC ONE
a guy from the xda forums tested it, and here is what he found:
1) android 4.1.2 GLBenchmark offscreen 1080p test at 34fps
2) high possibility of reaching 41fps with android 4.2 (better drivers)
3) LOW HEAT!!
its all in this page
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread...2161330&page=14

so simply put, HTC ONE is suitable for mobile gaming!!
YAY~~!!
now my only gripe with this phone (about not having the absolutely top spec hardware) is put to rest!! >w<

It was reported that last year samsung spent 200bil on marketing/advertisement and pr.

no source cause i read that up on flipboard..not sure which article.
should be the verge/engadget/cnet.

It's true the korean government aid samsung.
Good government support its own people.
Malaysia on the other hand.....swallow whatever big cooperates that are doing well. Itu sebab air asia hilang.
*
good companies don't need gov support...
imagine if taiwan back up HTC with the country's resources, HTC won't be having low exposure anymore...
but that's call reliance

Actually, I'm considering this phone, but 1 thing I don't understand.
Why till now, there's no custom ROM (except a few built on top of Sense) till now?
CM has no releases for this phone till now.
This is supposed to be the do-or-die HTC flagship phone.
*
CM will actually be bad for HTC One.
first of all, CM will lose the ImageSense 2 support for the camera, which means that the main strong suit of the phone is compromised by the weaker camera interface (no Zoe, no nothing) of stock android
secondly, I find that stock CM drawer doesn't let you put apps into folders, which is a minus IMO
actually losing the camera is killing the phone enough already... the 2nd point i just add on cuz i'm concerned abt it...

sidenote: if you must have CM, GS4 is actually a better choice as it does not require custom codes from HTC for the hardware to perform 100%, unlike HTC One, plus the lead developer of CM says he is pleased with S4, so u can be sure there'll be support, at least for the S600 version

and about the custom ROMS, same reason as above, basically they have only 2 choices: based on Sense5 or CM
those basing on CM will lose all the HTC software perk & imagesense2 hardware support, plus they have to wait for HTC to release the kernel before they can do anything
those basing on Sense5 will retain software perks and imagesense2, but still have to wait for HTC to release kernel

Hence, do you understand why there aren't many ROMS for HTC One yet?
beside the fact that the phone is only released one month ago, HTC has yet to release the kernel
