HTC One looks like a good phone, but stupidly, they did not give a MicroSD slot. That is extremely important for me.

After having experience file transfer with a few phones that has an internal memory only, I will never buy one. Too much of a hit or miss when it comes to connecting and mounting the memory to a computer, slow transfer, can not queue multiple files etc.

That aside, I don't understand why Sony can not come out with a 32GB model.

for those with a decent broadband package+unifi at home, can la use cloud service..
im only using Upax and only P1 20GB at home..so cloud is not a choice for me..

As good as cloud services are, they don't offer much quotas. For simple transfers and all, I agree, it is an alternative, but still, compare the difference:
Dropbox: Select photo -> Set to upload to Dropbox -> Sync Dropbox on PC -> View photo on PC
MSC: Plug phone to computer -> Open DCIM folder and view photo on PC

You can't argue with the simplicity and speed of MSC. What if I need to transfer a file to a client who does not have Dropbox on his PC/Laptop?

Sony did some problems of its own like xperia v infamous SOD, sleep of death where the phone non responding after it sleep. N first batch xperia s got that yellow tint appearing on screen when the temperature is high.

SD problem is actually not samsung s3 or note 2 problem,
bcauz android is not designed to support hot-swappable SD card,
especially whn u r using ntfs/fat32/exfat file system,
use ext4 file system with fsync on lar 2 be safe, but have to install ext4 driver,
i think samsung remove tat from the original android

sony is unable to detect home wifi, especially those unifi's wifi modem
bcauz some of the new modem tat custom firmware by TM does no follow malaysia SKMM wifi rules
so u will need to set wifi bandwidth to 20 mhz, set wifi channel from 1-11 not more thn tat 

open source 4 driver, driver 4 building custom android OS lor, like camera driver or wifi driver etc

Just hv a chat wit my bestfren, he is using lumia920. We cant wait to hv a low light camera shoot out contest. Ofcoz im well aware lumia920 has the upperhand during lowlight however i did mentioned to him that if he troll me too muc when he got the better pic, i'll challenge him in a water proof contest. Hahaha waterproof feature indeed got a beauty of its own.

My colleagues at work keep asking me to get the HTC One when it comes out, told them it's the ugliest phone I've ever seen (IMHO). I can understand that others love it, but they need to stop forcing their opinions on others.

It's a great phone, good specs, but I see it as a very ugly phone. I think it's the speaker placements in front that turns me off it.

Agreed, one man's meat is another man's poison. Just how I feel but I'm not really buying the Xperia Z to be an entertainment console. I just want something fast, classy and suitable for work.
