Thank you very much for sharing your opinions. smile.gif

Please do not be discouraged from the criticisms by others. Everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. Sometimes, we just have to agree to disagree.

Surely, we want EPF dividend to be as high as possible. Then again, if we suspect that EPF dividend may not as high as before, we should have sought higher return, by managing our fund ourselves in riskier investment. As Havoc Knightmare said before, it is better to take charge of what we can control, rather than complaining about what we cannot control.

Sorry, off topic a bit. Recently, you start to reinvest in KLSE as mentioned in your post, right?

Bought alaqar immediately at 1.33 when the BNM news came out. Its slightly undervalued at the moment so am grateful that the price didn't move up already. The DPU will only jump in 3Q 2021 when all their debts are due for refinancing next year at much lower interest rates.

Till now, EPF has not announced the proper procedure (such as correct application form), for those employees who wish to maintain the minimum statutory contribution rate for employees at eleven (11) per cent, from January 2021 to December 2021, right?

Quoted from EPF Press Statement in the link given by GrumpyNooby:

https://www.theedgemarkets.com/article/epf-...ligible-members

Moreover, the other EPF members that are not eligible for the facility will also be affected, given that the facility, which requires an allocation of another RM11 billion to RM15 billion, will reduce the pool of money the fund has for investment and therefore affect future dividend payouts.

Frequently Asked Questions does not state a convenient option for those EPF members who do not want to have Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3).

How frequent do we have to submit the physical “Borang Pindahan Simpanan Ke Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera”? Once a month?

For me, I would prefer my Akaun Fleksibel to have zero amount permanently.

As such, my preferred EPF contributions will be credited according to the ratio of 75:25:0, where 75% will go into Akaun Persaraan, 25% into Akaun Sejahtera, and 0% into Akaun Fleksibel.

Frequently Asked Questions On EPF Account Restructuring

17. Can a member transfer from Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Sejahtera or Akaun Persaraan?

Members can transfer part of their savings as follows:

i. Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Sejahtera
i. Akaun Fleksibel to Akaun Persaraan
iii. Akaun Sejahtera to Akaun Persaraan

Savings transferred cannot be reversed into the original account. Transfers from Akaun Persaraan to Akaun Sejahtera and/or Akaun Fleksibel are not allowed as Akaun Persaraan’s priority is for retirement.

18. Can members apply for transfers of contributions?

Members can submit a contribution transfer application at any EPF counter by completing the “Borang Pindahan Simpanan Ke Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera”.

To be fair, they are dealing with millions of members, if every member want different ratio, then it is really a mess and troublesome to manually adjust one by one.
So by default, all the same see sensible.

I do respect the choice of some EPF members who like the flexibility of withdrawing money from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3). Their money, their choice.

Then again, not all EPF members would need to withdraw money from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3).

Ratio to be implemented by EPF on 11 May 2024 : 75% will go into Akaun Persaraan, 15% into Akaun Sejahtera, and 10% into Akaun Fleksibel.

Preferred Ratio for those who do not need flexibility: 75% will go into Akaun Persaraan, 25% into Akaun Sejahtera, and 0% into Akaun Fleksibel.

The preferred ratio is just a slight tweak from the ratio to be implemented by EPF, and is almost similar to the previous ratio of 70%:30%.

How is it practical for those who do not need flexibility, to keep on submitting the physical “Borang Pindahan Simpanan Ke Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera” on a regular basis, to EPF? Imagine the extra workload to be handled by EPF on this matter.

However, members can soon make a recurring request to transfer the funds from Account 3 to the two other accounts. This was revealed by EPF’s Head of Policy and Strategy Department, Balqais Yusoff during a recent interview with BFM.

You can specifically choose whether you want the contributions that are meant for Account 3 to be moved to Account 1 (Akaun Persaraan) or Account 2 (Akaun Sejahtera). Not only that, you will also have the choice to split and transfer the money to both accounts.

Furthermore, the option will not be a one-off thing as members can also deactivate it if they need the Account 3 funds for that particular time.

In terms of availability, Balqis said that the recurring transfer option will be made available to members in June or July. While she didn’t explain it in detail, this option will be accessible online which we assume includes the KWSP i-Akaun mobile apps as well.
This article was posted here in May.

As we are approaching the end of July, why can't we perform the recurring transfer from Account 3 to Account 2 yet?

Or, is EPF still expecting those who do not need flexibility of withdrawing money from Akaun Fleksibel (Account 3), to keep on submitting the physical “Borang Pindahan Simpanan Ke Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera” on a regular basis, to EPF? Imagine the extra workload to be handled by EPF on this matter.

I am one of the few EPF members who transfer the funds from Account 3 to Account 2, by submitting physical ‘Savings Transfer To Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera Form (KWSP 12)' form at a EPF branch.

Has EPF ever issued the statistics of the amount of the fund transferred from Account 3, to Account 2 or Account 1?

Till now, we still cannot perform the recurring transfer from Account 3 to Account 2 or Account 1 yet.

For that, the best advice given by EPF is that the interested EPF members should submit physical ‘Savings Transfer To Akaun Persaraan/ Akaun Sejahtera Form (KWSP 12)' form at any EPF branch, every month. It is disappointing, to say the least.

How fast is the transfer from Account 3 to Account 2 done after submitting the form (T-day)?
Can we transfer from Account 3 to Account 1 using the same form ?
*
For my case, T + 2 days.

Yes, you can use the same form to transfer fund from Account 3, to Account 1.

QUOTE(jasontoh @ Aug 31 2024, 05:03 PM)
Why would anyone transfer from Acc3 to Acc2? Any specific reason? If on the specific withdrawal, Acc3 now give more flexibility vs Acc2, and then you can eventually still withdraw from Acc2.
*
I agree with nexona88, that it is a pre-emptive action, in the event that the dividend rate for Account 3 is lower next year.

For me, the second reason of my fund transfer from Account 3 to Account 2 is to prevent myself from withdrawing the fund from Account 3 in order to satisfy instant gratification and pay for unnecessary spending, such as buying new handphone, or going for expensive vacation.

I am considering the fund in Account 3 is also forced savings strictly intended to be used after retirement. As such, I am forcing myself to avoid withdrawing any fund from Account 3, unless for purposes allowed for Account 2 withdrawal.
