Hi all, I have this question about self contribution.
I have withdraw before from acc2 so my balance is not 70% acc1 and 30% acc2 anymore. Example below.
Acc1: 200k
Acc2 : 30k
Acc3: 0 (for simplicity sake we treat it as 0)

So if I do self contribution of 10k, how will it flow into the accounts above? Will it fill up the acc2 first since i withdraw before?
Thanks smile.gif

You always have to keep this RM1m balance ya?

Too bad epf only allow max 100k self contribution  biggrin.gif
*
Yearly 100k seems hard to max out, but for those with already a sizesble anount in epf, can plan this out especially during end of year:
Dec 2024 - deposit 100k
Jan 2025 - deposit 100k
Jan 2026 - deposit 100k

In 13/14 months you can put 300k in already. Also havent include dividend payouts.

Only makes sense if you have loads of cash and a sizeable epf I guess.

The proposed 2% tax on dividend > 100k is onto individuals. So talking about epf’s dividend return from their holdings is also far fetched.

Among Important points mentioned by epf head:

Ahmad Zulqarnain added that the EPF is exploring enhanced accumulation strategies, including structured monthly withdrawal options, to help members manage longevity risks and ensure the sustainability of their retirement savings.

As Malaysians live and work longer, he said the country must eventually align the full EPF withdrawal age with the national minimum retirement age to ensure a more coherent and secure transition into later life.

This where all the negative speculation would appear....

EPF No $$$$...

Gonna bankrupt

Contributors cannot see their hard earn $$$ for retirement

Government using for own benefits.... Cash cow...

The list goes on.......

Haha, well My main concern is full withdrawal at 55 though. They already moved 1 m goal post which impacts many of us.

guys... stop bashing him lah... hahaha...

5.4% is worked backwards from the basic sum required for retirement mentioned by epf throughout the years... this would indeed be "inflation" if one doesn't have any other data point...

ps... just saying... i didn't check his calc...

More bashing also no impact as long as he get more views 😆

i think both also somewhat right la...
i also kena fear mongering like many many years ago....say EPF bankrupt la.. better take out money..... cannot beat inflation la...
but now...so thankful i left my money in EPF....of course if invest in stocks confirm much better....but cannot complain also already with the compounded effect from EPF savings...
*
I also got fear mongered when i was younger. Luckily no avenue to withdraw else wont have a good amount saved up. EPF is a superb platform for full time employee especially like myself.

read back my post...

i personally give 10 thumbs up if EPF copy cpf monthly payout method..Too many ppl depleted their EPF within few years after retirement age.

If EPF allow me to lum sum transfer my EPF amount to my kids EPF account, i'll do it so that my kid only can access my funds upon their retirement.

Of course the monthly payout are not for everyone, can give exception to high net worth people to withdraw out.

Example those just barely hit the minimum retirement sum cannot withdraw lum sum, only can withdraw monthly like CPF. those above can apply to withdraw the excess.

Wow, this is a good idea... can practice from generation to generation...
i agree to withdraw epf by monthly... if hold so much for what? epf bank cannot touch if got loan right.
*
If EPF is designed as such from beginning when I start contributing, I am good with it. But not when I have made arrangements like self contribution, knowing the rule was 1m excessive wirhdrawal allowed and full withdrawal at 55. As planning were made with known rules that time. Changing it half way is never desirable.

This is not a question of EPF reliable or not… i’m 100% supportive and confident with EPF

Hard to follow as always off topic till the moon 🌝
My HR finally enter my June epf contribution on July 1st
This is for my May salary epf deduction that should go in by or before 15th June yet they are late and said due to payroll processing issue and impacting quite a number of staff
Can I take any action against my HR?
If yes which channel?
*
Well you can, but if it is a 1 time incident and if your company is not trying to do anything shady, then what’s the objective of reporting it?

dont speculate too much
now is 1.1M 2026, 1.2M 2027, 1.3M 2028

if u want to continue pump into EPF, just make sure you exceed 1.3M by 2028 and remember only the excess of 1.3M can be withdraw
*
No guarantee that it will not be revised again from 2029 onwards.

I have decided to stop contributing due to this change directly impacted my plans , not happy but cant do much, haha

you have the right reason to complain if currently you have 2 million and below 55 years old.

cos from having liquidity access of 1 million ringgit + div declared for 2025 (assume 120Krm) = 1.12 million,
next year you only have liquidity access of 1.02 million due to the 100K threshold increase.

haha...

whether you should or need to complain is another story.  icon_rolleyes.gif

I believe you have the right reason to compain too right bro? I recall you are < 45 age with > 1 mil - direcrly impacted category
