QUOTE(nexona88 @ Sep 28 2016, 02:54 AM) Wanita MCA has backed a Bar Council’s proposal that the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) Regulations be amended to ensure the spouse and children of a deceased contributor would still benefit even if they were not named as beneficiaries. Or maybe update the epf members beneficiaries every 5 years? Or remind them? I don't like this one way approach. I have my dad as my Beneficiary as I know he will need it to care for my family. Forcing this would go against thy willThere have been cases of EPF members who named other beneficiaries prior to their marriage, thus leaving their spouses and children in a lurch when they die, said Wanita MCA chief Datuk Heng Seai Kie. http://www.thestar.com.my/news/nation/2016...ciary-proposal/ |

QUOTE(Shah_15 @ Jan 28 2017, 06:09 PM) anyone knows if i can use my EPF to settle my PTPTN loan if I didnt finished my study for that particular loan? Yep. you can use account 2 to settle your ptptn. I did it just a few months ago to settle a portion of it.I found it is quite ridiculous to restrict such withdrawal while in fact you are earning money in your EPF but you cant settle your ptptn debt cause u didnt finished the study for that loan. I mean it is the same right? if i finished my study, then i am allowed to withdraw to settle it. geez. for me as long as you have sufficient balance in ACC 2 and they are approving withdrawal for ptptn settlement, it should be quite straight forward. |

QUOTE(Shah_15 @ Jan 28 2017, 06:23 PM) But i didnt finished my study course that i took ptptn loan with. And they are asking for academic transcript right? even you didn't finish you will be charged by semester. it is like this everywhere in the world esp in the US. you don't need a transcript. just head to ptptn. ask the officer how much you owe and get documents signed and prepped then bring the said documents to epf. they will settle for you |

QUOTE(Shah_15 @ Jan 28 2017, 06:33 PM) are u sure? how recently you made the withdrawal? because i have applied e-withdrawal through EPF website almost a year ago to fully settle my PTPTN debt. Then they rang me up and ask me to head to their office together with supporting documents including transcript. Then I told them I didnt finished my study and working in different area now, she straight away told me it cant be done and they will just reject my withdrawal request. I did it over the counter bro. I paid 7k for it and it was performed in July. i didn't need a transcript. just the documents from ptptn for epf to go through. I do not understand why epf has to go though your university because the money is funnel into ptptn. This is from EPF not PTPTN. PTPTN should have no issue to supply all the required documents. It is EPF that making fuss about it. |

Why is everyone so hard up about the epf dividend. They will announce it in due course. It won't matter as your money cannot be taken out. cempedaklife liked this post

For someone who can withdraw acct 2, acct 3 means nothing and if this actually dilutes returns why should I keep money in epf to care for the financially illiterate? CommodoreAmiga and wongmunkeong liked this post

QUOTE(virtualgay @ Apr 17 2024, 12:05 PM) QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 17 2024, 12:10 PM) You better got solid evidence of the statement you posted.... Epf may or may not be a ponzi unless and until they release annual audit to parliament and the general public on how much money goes in, how much they lose or gain via investments and etc.Anyway... Cannot really say it's ponzi.... Because EPF got some rules to follow... Minimum dividend in place, auditor etc So without the audit, they may very well be a ponzi scheme. I'm pondering to withdraw 10k out of my account 3 as I have 30 plus k in account 2 not to fool around but to transfer to ikbr since epf dividend this year was subpar and prone to political instructions.
What do you guys think? Is this wise? |

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 25 2024, 02:04 PM) Well you don't have trust with EPF moving forward... Especially on their dividend rate performance.... Actually I just realized I own a prop. I can just withdraw account two without the account 3 shenanigans. 😅 Chinese we call this lan pah pah lanThen just withdraw.... Wise or not... Only time would tell... But now... It's not really looking good.... 50bil outflow from EPF confirm nexona88 liked this post

QUOTE(nexona88 @ Apr 25 2024, 02:09 PM) I'm should be same rate for all... Didn't someone posted in this sub with a higher fund epf will find it hard to increase income? So with an outflow of 50bil wouldn't it be better for a smaller fund? But I expect it's would be lower... Thanks to outflow of 50bil $$$.... Positive side... Can stimulate the economy overall 🔥👌 |

QUOTE(ronnie @ Apr 25 2024, 04:07 PM) CASA gets cash now... EPF need to wait up to 7 days. Or for those are financially savvy who have no faith in myr and epf that they, they withdraw. Convert to sgd or usd and invest in said countries.Account 3 is for the financial illterate who only spend retirement monies (because they dont care about the dividend rate) Cuz that's what I'll be doing. nexona88 liked this post
