Just test drove both xv and cx 5 over the weekend and am seriously considering buying the xv. Cx5 handling and engine was surprisingly bad... I really wanted the cx 5 before the test drive but not anymore...

However, I've still got one last issue with it. Is subaru's general maintenance and service more expensive than say, the crv, cx5 and also the asx? Do I have to wait very long for parts if I ever had to change the side mirrors or the bumper if I had an accident with the car?

Thanks guys!

Personnel preference would go for cx5 instead of xv.
Outlook - cx5
Features - cx5 gadgets and bose sound system
Performance - cx5 skyactive engine win over the fuel consumption

hmm... im interested to know about the fuel consumption comparison between cx5 and xv. as i wasnt able to test it during the short test drive... Any thoughts from any one?!!

im still quite undecided!!

i use to love the cx5 and watch in amazement whenever i see it on the road. it is such a handsome looking car.

However.. all of that went to dust after i test drove the cx5.. xv felt so much planted on the ground and especially at high speed, it is super stead... engine and gear change felt a lot more smooth when i step on the accelerator as compared to the cx5 who just ROAARRR whenever you need to pick up speed.

so now my dilemma is whether to sacrifice slightly on the handling and engine and gear responsiveness and get a more popular brand of cx5.. or go for the great handling of subaru and sacrifice on the second hand value and less popular brand..

If you're looking for a big and stylish SUV, the Hyundai Santa Fe 2013 comes to mind.

it definitely looks stylish! Has anyone test drove it already?

But to be frank.. both sportage and santa fe are not on my list of consideration at all.. Its still between cx5 or xv!!
