Just curious, will this credit card rebate works for Touch N Go purchase and reload also?
As I'm gonna travel quite far in Msia, gonna spend alot in Touch N Go and Petrol.

And also, how long they will take to approve the application?
I am going to apply for it today when the bank is open.
Gonna need it by next week, is it possible?

Petrol station is 5% rebate...cap at rm50 per month..
But most of the petrol station do not accept touch n go reload with credit card, they will said CASH Only.
*
I see.
Then usually how long they will take to process the application and approve it?
I'm working in Singapore, I think they will require my monthly payslip and bank statement as well?

If anyone's going to be applying for this card and wants it fast, take my advice and don't apply online. Until today, I still haven't received the confirmation call on my application status...it's been like, 3 weeks now? I feel like strangling myself for canceling my initial application with the branch (which took only days!!) and changed it to online submission just because of the stupid Samsung S4 draw. The nightmarish wait is giving me unnecessary headache and I hate it. Imagine if I really could get the card, it'd be months before I get it versus 1-2 weeks max through branch.
*
I applied online yesterday night, did not receive any call from them today.
Just in case the online application screw up, I went to the OCBC branch and applied thru the Card Sales Manager.
Submitted all documents, and he sent it out by 4pm already.
I'm praying to get the card by this week, if possible smile.gif

Usually Rebates from priority cards are low, less than 1% or even 0.03%...ocbc provides 1% rebate for other purchases.
Another plus point is we all need to pay phone bill, internet bill, utilities bills etc and ocbc provides 5% rebate. However for those spent a lot on these bills then need to have other credit cards to maximize the rebate..
*
Yup, that is true.
The petrol and the bill payments with 5% rebates are my main consideration.
Somemore they give 5% rebate for ALL petrols, as long as u swipe their card.
For petrol I will already swipe more than 20 times per MONTH, so this card is consider FREE for me rclxm9.gif rclxms.gif

Hey guys,

Just a quick check. I received a call from OCBC telemarketing asking for 3 months payslip and EPF statement. Is that really necessary?

More so, their website only statement 1 month payslip or epf statement instead of 3 months payslips and epf statment.

What if I apply at the Curve booth? Need to provide everything?
*
I applied at OCBC branch, the Sales Manager required me to provide my Employment Contract (coz I'm working in Singapore), 3 months payslip with bank statement to proof it, utility bill with MY NAME on it to prove that I am staying there.
So compare with mine, yours is still consider OK la. thumbup.gif

By the way, I just received call from OCBC to confirm my application.
Now my hope to get the card by this week seems...... impossible cry.gif cry.gif

I think more important is the payment record.
if too clean, no record can trace. I also heard somebody apply housing loan, but dont have any record to trace (no credit card also), at the end the loan also rejected.
if you have a few loan, i believe that's no problem, bank can trace your repayment records.
*
Well, currently having house loan and car loan.
Making payment every month, so my record should be OK.
Wondering why they wanna reject me cry.gif

Too clean here means there is no history of credit. It does not mean late payment, any penalty, etc. Some banks would like to check on the person's ability (or trend) in making payments on time, no default cases.
OCBC is pretty strict. Try to send an appeal letter, refer to page 1.
*
I really hope its the bank problem.
My profile is quite ok actually...
70k annual income, 2 loans paying smoothly also (maybe the loan just started 2 months ago?)

Just called the Sales Manager that handle my application.
Let's see what he can do for me right now.

The appeal letter is by email or normal mail?
I will send one if the sales manager can't do anything for me.

Lots of thanks to the sifu who shared the appeal letter!

Applied for OCBC's Titanium Mastercard on July 12, received a letter dated July 23 stating that my application has been unsuccessful, sent an appeal email on July 29 and finally received an sms from OCBC stating that my application was approved on August 1.

Received my card the very next day ^^
