Came across something. The new product disclosure sheet states that there is an automatic GST redemption with minimum RM10k retail spend/cash advance per annum (RM5k for supp).

Come to think of it, i received RM50 two times during my card anniversary. So spending RM10k actually gives us RM100 (RM50 for annual usage bonus + RM50 for GST redemption). Can someone check their statement on this RM50 + RM50 and verify?

This is a good news  rclxms.gif

Thanks to cfa28 for sharing the PDS.

add: No 2x RM50 as verified below  sad.gif

Bro, my statement only showed the normal RMxx cash back every month and the auto GST Waiver.

I suspect that in the advertisement, OCBC does not want to say directly GST Waiver and hence use a term as annual cash back of RM50 but in the PDC, they use the term GST Waiver.

Pls note that the PDC shall prevail over the advertisement, Brochures, etc. PDC is equivalent to your Agreement with the Bank.

Add on

I think the Reason why PDC says Annual GST Waiver instead of Cash Back is that OCBC does not want customers to cancel the Credit Card and then 'use the' RM50. So to enjoy it, the Card is auto renewed withiout Card Holder forking our cash.

Just got my titanium card.. Surprisingly they just issue me 8k credit limit.. My annual salary more than 60k.. Just 13%! Lol

Credit Card Credit Limit is based on a multiple of your Monthly Salary and not Annual Income. But a credit limit of just RM8K for a monthly salary of RM5K seems a bit low. Did you submit your latest payslips, etc.

Industry standard should at least 3x your monthly income. U can ask for a higher limit say after 6x of showing that u pay on time.

Just checked my statement and I confirm that I received the annual usage bonus 2 times. Probably got lucky there  biggrin.gif

good for you. Keep quiet and if OCBC takes it back after say 2-mths, tell them that the Statement says that unless we hear from u within x-mths, the details shall be taken as correct.

Its a standard clause in all Statements. Shove it back to them.
