If you have the time, go to their branch.
I don't have the time and the branch is not near to me, so I went for online. smile.gif

Malls one, sometimes cannot be trusted one because they were there just to get commissions.
*
It's not fair by determine ocbc sales team at mall cannot be trusted because of commission, branch sales team will also receive commission. Again, it's depend how sincere of the sales staff you met when you applying the card. No offence smile.gif

i found that those online applications will get rejected most of the times.
i have been rejected 1 time for using online application.
then someone advised me to apply at the branch instead of going online, those telesales may not submit your forms accordingly.
after they rejected my application, 1 month later i went to the branch, this time they approved my application.
since then, i never trust those telesales anymore.

That's the difference between your document was submitted face-to-face, with a chop of "original sighted" and submit via fax or email, with a chop of "not original sighted" on your document. This could made a big difference on your application get approve or reject.

Does this card has 5% rebate for purchase spare parts from car service centre? (Toyota, Proton, DMM)
How about use it to purchase/reload cash card? (1 Utama, Ikea)
*
This will fall under 1% rebate only. 5% only subject to grocery, dining, petrol & bills transaction.

anyone can confirm paying Telekom bills online entitled to 5% cash rebate?

All this while i pay TNB bills online got 5%, this month first time i have to swith to usingĀ  telekom/ streamyx bills.

I tried looked at first few pages, i think it should be 5% for Telekom bills, but i tried looking for posting from someone who paid his telekom bills and reported 5% but could find .

looking at websites it says utility 5%- TNB is sure utility , but Telekom?
*
It's 5% for bills rebate, as such, maxis, digi, celcom, umobile, tnb, astro, unifi, streamyx (both unifi & streamyx are under telekom), indah water, syabas are also consider under code of mcc 4814, 4815, 4816, 4821, 4899 and 4900. It's advisable to pay via ocbc online banking system, as this will ensure u get the correct mcc during the transaction. if anything goes wrong later on, more easy to negotiate with the bank. just personal opinion on this clarification, hope it's solve your queries.

Too bad mine's already submitted, otherwise I wouldn't mine to do it through him. But is Eddy's considered as online application, just curious?
*
Nope, online application is go through our Telemarketer at Cap Square Card Sales dept. I'm from Card Sales-Direct Sales, if the document go through direct sales staff, then it's consider as direct sales. Difference is just original sighted or not original sighted documents only. Hope this clarify your doubt. biggrin.gif

I noticed Direct Sales is a lot faster than online application for OCBC and the number of documents required is lesser as well. I wonder why.
*
Basically, the processing period should be the same. I would say it's depend on how fast and reliable does the banker you apply with on processing your application.

Thanks.
*
Unfortunately no, it's based on the date u make the online bills transaction.

To be honest, I don't quite understand, people here keep saying "OCBC is pretty strict when it comes to card approval". Why are they so strict? Any idea?
