Oh? I see.. good to hear! Hopefully other countries like Japan and the US also no problem.  rclxms.gif Thanks for the feedback!  rclxm9.gif

I had a problem once with Maybank Visa at Japan, despite informing the bank about my trip, however, it is a rare occasion because it was accepted other times. Having a spare card is probably best.

Hi, just a quick one.
New on OCBC cc.

(query on online payment)
any rebate pay online for below items?
- TNB
- PBABB
- TM streamyx
(if auto-pay, what's the rebate for each of the above? Any extra benefit?)

And i don't have OCBC saving/current account , can i pay using cc account online transaction?
*
5% for TNB and TM Streamyx. No idea what is PBABB.

I think there is extra incentive by the respective billers if you auto-debit, find out more from their websites.

Yes, can pay using IBG from another bank's account.

I already have OCBC Titanium, but for the past one year, my spending constantly exceeded 5K / month. Any other card worth getting? TIA
*
Apart from Maybank 2 as pointed out above, you may also add Hong Leong Wise card if it fits the bill, based on your type of transactions.

how about the online bill payment?
is it considered as 1 swipe?

so if i pump petrol + paid 1 online bill payment, i still need to swipe 2 times or 1 time to get the rm50 rebate?
*
will have to check the terms and condition to see if there is any specific clause.

to be honest, it is very easy to swipe more than the required times using this card as it is very versatile. online bill payments got several billers already. then swipe at petrols, supermarts, dining.. biggrin.gif

Hmm now that's the case dunno I can get mine approved or not. I only have 1 month payslip though hmm any agent here hehehe
*
There is a reason why banks require 2 or 3 months payslip, just wait for a few more months and apply smile.gif

Cannot found the detail about first swip at petrol to be charge for RM200 on first page, may I know why the bank will charge me RM 200 when I pumping petrol??

Received a SMS saying that bank will charge me for RM 200, but i have not pump until so much and I remember I have saw this information previous, but I have forgotten.

May I know what is the issued about this??

TQ  notworthy.gif

That is the standard procedure. Since you pay at the pump (not counter) they don't know how much amount that you pumped in, until the station operator report it. So the banks will hold RM200 (or RM250) first and release it once the actual amount is reported.

Noted with thanks, so the amount to be charge RM200 will show on monthly statement? Or it only show the actual amount that I pumped or both amount are show?
*
the actual amount.
the 200 or 250 will be released once the operator report the transaction (usually overnight)

Good question. I have normal savings account and M2U saver account.
For this particular transaction, I used my M2U saver account because I thought it is the same and not necessary to transfer to my savings account and pay to OCBC?
*
From my understanding, if you refer to Bank Negara statement, it should applies to all IBG regardless of the type of account. I stand to be corrected though.

It think it doesn't matter. At least readers can be confident that the outlet is giving 5% instead of waiting early for the statement biggrin.gif
