I've i9100 rooted SGS2. It's my wife's actually. I rooted it using the guide in the first page. How do i unroot it?
And then i want to upgrade to the ICS. Do i have to flash the stock firmware using odin first?

no need to unroot to upgrade rom.

i think my wifi is already dead. cannot turn ON anymore..each time wanna switch ON, it will automatically switch OFF...time to throw away my phone..

WiFi chip issue. Don't throw away check if mono still OK. Maybe can salvage.

Official no.

upgrade to CM10.1
android 4.2.2 is pretty stable.

UI of CM10 is based on AOSP.
official JB is touchwiz, you will get a totally different UI.. unless you have a theme.

i guess i just stick to CM then. The only thing is that i miss the 3g video calling that is in the official samsung firmware before i upgraded to CM. But lately most of my family used skype. so it's ok i guess. Plus i do think official camera app is better.

for s2 its the same cuz no zero shutter lag.
for me i prefer the new 4.2 camera as it shows the fullscreen when you wanna snap a pic/record a video rather than both sides being blocked by menus/bars

quality wise.. now they implemented HDR on it (based on the devs).. so lets hope for the best for better quality?

cuz you're most probably upgrading from 4.1.2 to 4.2.2

download the rom.
i'd recommend rootbox cuz im using it.
and install "dashclock" once you're on 4.2.2
