The Deep violet-blue bulbs largely filter out visible light. Longer UVA wavelengths get through the glass and are not blocked by the dark colored filter dye. Longer UVA wavelengths emitted by UV blacklights are basically harmless. Although the hazard is not quite zero, it is generally quite negligible

Can somebody tell me a good shop to get large size UV lamps in KL? Cant seem to get any in Low Yat, no stock.. I wana rig some up in my bedroom to, set the mood

yeah i no its not exactly a case mod, but never the less, finnished my new UV bedroom mod cost about rm160 for everything

At first it was four, 1metre long 40Watt UV blacklights up around the ceiling, but decided that was overkill because the whole room lit up like a purple sun like this:


so then took it down to two of then and one short one on the wall there and it looks like this:

yeah im using 48inch 40watt fluorescent lamps, I dont think they are the same as the 4watt sunbeam ccfl's, nowhere near as bright. can get everything cheap at the shops on Jalan Pasar (thanks radioactive)
