Its good to see some of them can still play football & didnt lose their touch especially Serginho & Shevchenko. The irony is that both Maurizio Ganz & his son Andrea Ganz scored at very same day.

Btw tonight match will not be on astro, but you can watch live stream here.Game start at 10PM.

When i thought we could win againts Barca this time coz their defense & goalkeeper are actually weaker, then looking at our defense really made me facepalm.....lolz.

Hopefully we can surprise them in champions league later, who knows the ball is round & theres 2 leg match to begin with.

AC Milan & Adidas announce a new technology innovation partnership called Adidas miCoach Elite System.

AC Milan will be the 1st top club to use the system but the Adidas miCoach Elite system only can be use in training because FIFA doesn't allow the use of it in official competitions. The System will monitor the player's power, speed, acceleration, heart rate, distance, positioning & more in real-time.

Forza Milan... I am still waiting for the club to restore its glory... It seems unlikely with the "Brilliant" owner that only keep selling away our good players.

It is like oh my, I have many Porsches, I won so much.. Let's sell it and buy some Protons.

And then the Proton got modded (aka built up), oh my we didn't win anything but hey we bought a crap and he got famed now, let's sell it for money and yada yada yada.

And then oh my, it is not so bad isn't it? We are still in UCL even with craps, the fans should be grateful we still maintained within UCL.

I almost cried after full time whistle..this is why i become a fan of milan..amazing game..

All credits should go to allegri..hes been under a lot of pressure..he organized our defence well (which as you all know..very fragile in serie A), good decision by employing ambrosini as the anchor man..and good substituions as well..

Looking forward for the second leg at camp nou

This excuse is invalid for like one year ago. The San Siro stadium already changed to synthethic turf last season and no more pothole excuse can be use now.

We deserved to win.Period

Next match is the derby, but i have slight confident since Milito is out for rest of season,no more bollocks defending from Abate now.

Genoa 0 - 2 AC Milan

• Giampaolo Pazzini 22'
• Mario Balotelli 60'

AC Milan continued their pursuit of second-placed Napoli and warmed up for next week's Champions League trip to Barcelona with a hard-fought Serie A victory at relegation-threatened Genoa this evening.

Goals in either half from Giampaolo Pazzini and substitute Mario Balotelli earned the Rossoneri all three points, despite a red card for visiting defender Kevin Constant.

That was not the game's only controversy, with the hosts demanding two penalties in the first half, but Massimiliano Allegri's side held on to secure the three points at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

M'Baye Niang had the first chance to put the visitors in front, but Genoa goalkeeper Sebastien Frey was equal to his attempt.

A foul by Daniele Portanova on Pazzini then saw the Genoa defender booked. The Milan striker limped on, with Balotelli told to warm up on the touchline.

Before the substitution could be carried out, though, Pazzini managed to put his side ahead with a powerful shot which went in off the underside of the crossbar.

As far as I wanted to say our defense is good, but they do shake at certain moment.. It just happens. Just pray that it doesn't during 2nd leg against FC Barcelona.

We certainly also need one or two away goal to looks good and safe.

This time Allegri got it all wrong, started a inexperience Niang rather than Robinho or Bojan, thats a big mistake. Not to mention the worse midfield lineup it can be by starting Ambrosini instead of Muntari.

As usual Mexes made so many mistakes in defensive side,as well for Zapata & Constant.

Really2 disapointed in this game, much worse than last season.

A new thread.

A cool effort and keep up the good work guys.

Milan may have lost to Barca but this is a very young side going against a side which is in its prime so we had to accept the fact that they were superior.

Milan will be back and they will be winning a lot more trophies once this squad matures in the future.

Sorry didnt update much lately due to commitment. So far we already signed another bright youngster from Columbia Jherson Vergara (19) play in centreback position.

Sadly,Montolivo will be out for final four games due to injury.

There is rumour that Allegri will leave in the end of season and we opted Seedorf or Van Bommel as caretaker coach next season until the current Italy national team coach,Cesare Prandelli become available at the end of World Cup 2014.

What if we hire Jupp Heynckes of current Bayern Munich coach as next season manager? hmm.gif

Super Mario To The Rescue
QUOTE
Mario Balotelli's late penalty helped rescue AC Milan as they came within three minutes of missing out on a place in next season's Champions League.
I thought that I should give this thread a bump with the above headline ;p)

Super Mario is an unforgettable football player because of the iconic moments he gave us as a City Player.
His brace to demolish & humiliate MU @ the OT Demolition 6-1 Derby.
It warms the cockles of my heart every time I recall his Wembley wink.

Rumour has it Milan already signed Poli and Jorginho.

Currently the club are monitoring Alcantara and Honda.Latter might come since Honda contract will expire and the end of this year.

I believe Galliani would not gonna spend 19m just for a midfielder, but i dont deny his quality.

While we may add a backup left back as Criscito admit last time he almost joined Milan and he wanted to return to Italy next season. Santon also in Milan's radar.

Update: Santos seems to be serious to sign Robinho after they sold Neymar,i mean now they have the money,i dont think Galliani gonna refuse of this deal.

While i think we might start looking on Abidal as our backup defender as Yepes didnt get contract renewal.

Report: Milan to offer Honda four-year contract

QUOTE
Milan lost Carlos Tevez to Juventus and the Argentine has admitted that “Juventus want me more than Milan” and their eyes are now on Honda as they appear to want the player to fill their last non-EU spot (Milan have one left after Vergara signed).

Honda has made it very clear that he would like to move away from CSKA Moscow this summer as his contract expires on the 31st of December and has attracted interest from the Rossoneri and a number of Premier League clubs.

Sportitalia reported yesterday that Milan are at the top of Honda’s list and according to La Gazzetta dello Sport and il Corriere dello Sport Milan are serious about the player. The Rome-based newspaper suggests that Milan are preparing Honda, who turned 27 earlier this month, a four-year contract worth €2.5 million a season (plus €0.5 million in bonuses).

It’s believed that Everton have offered €7 million for Honda but Milan are only going to offer €2m (La Gazzetta reported yesterday that Honda has an agreement with his club that this amount will be enough to buy him). The pink newspaper expects Adriano Galliani to start working on the signing of Honda in the next days. Sky Sport Italia, however, insists that Milan will not be able to move for Honda or anyone else until they sell some players as Milan have 33 squad players now.

Gazzetta also suggests that the Andrea Poli negotiations are hold until Milan resolve the Mathieu Flamini and Bakaye Traore situations and writes that Milan consider Alessandro Matri or Juventus way too expensive (they want €12 million).

If this true, now we will have a proper trequarista for diamond shaped formation,IMO Tevez was not even in the plan as he's just another second striker and we have already enough player on that position.

OFFICIAL : El Sharaawy Off From Market thumbup.gif

QUOTE
Milan have officially declared Stephan El Shaarawy is not for sale after today’s crunch meeting with the player.

“The meeting between Adriano Galliani, Stephan El Shaarawy and his entourage has taken place,” read a statement on the club website.

“It all went well. Stephan, who has always been a Milan fan, confirmed his strong desire to continue playing in the Rossoneri jersey.

“That proposal was shared by Milan with conviction and trust. Milan and El Shaarawy go forward together, as they have done since June 2011.

“No transfer, no rumours, no links. Milan, the Rossoneri colours and the Pharaoh will absolutely stick together.”

The 20-year-old striker had been linked with offers from Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli and Manchester City.

He struggled for form in recent months after the arrival of Mario Balotelli, who forced a change of tactics.

We are close on offload Robinho with 8M deal with Santos, and have pre-agreement with Keisuke Honda.

There is also rumour that Poli and Astori negotiation also on standby.

Milan gave 50% ownership of Salamon Bartosz to Sampdoria.

Btw,AC Milan is closing in to get Keisuke Honda this summer rather than waiting for January transfer.Honda already accepted a pre-agreement to join the club in January.

Honda’s sponsors pushing for an immediate move to Milan

QUOTE
Keisuke Honda could join Milan this summer after all. At the end of the week there will be a summit in Moscow between the player’s entourage and CSKA, who is seeking at least 2 million euro to let the player leave in the summer. The sponsors for the player are pushing to have the deal completed immediately and are willing to contribute financially, since they believe they will benefit from an immediate transfer to Milan.

For defense dont go harsh on them because our main lineup wasnt available in this match...imagine if it was Mexes-Zapata-De Sciglio-Abate the team could dominate the game from 1st minute. Vergara need much to learn if he want to breakthrough in Serie A.

I was impressed by Muntari performance,he did great alongside El Sharaawy & Petagna.

Milan is lack of creative midfielder, its a disgrace to see Boateng wearing number 10 iconic jersey of a playmaker but played like fodder.

Muntari wasted many pass with inaccurate long pass make me wanna throw my remote.

The 1st match of 2013/2014 season will be the Champions League Playoff againts PSV.

What a tough route we meet this time, but if observe carefully PSV already weaken by departure of key players (MVB,Strootman,Lens,Mertens) but they strenghten it with key signings such as Park Ji Sung,Bruma, & Adam Maher.

Report: Ancelotti wants De Sciglio at Real Madrid

QUOTE
CARLO ANCELOTTI will looks to replace Fabio Coentrao with Mattia De Sciglio according to reports in Spain.

Mattia De Sciglio is the perfect example of what Milan have been trying to do over the last years as the youngster came through the ranks of the youth department and became an Italy international so it’s no surprise he attracts interest.

Paolo Maldini has recently admitted that he sees similarities between De Sciglio and himself and the Spanish newspaper Marca claims on Saturday that Carlo Ancelotti has requested Real Madrid to pursue Mattia, who they call ‘Young Maldini’.

Baresi: “Experience is the key against PSV, Ljajic is quality”
Gandini: “Milan know PSV very well, it won’t be easy”

It’s said that if Real Madrid manage to sell Coentrao, who they bought in 2011 for €30m, they will try to sign De Sciglio, who made 33 appearances for Milan last season. De Sciglio is capable of playing on both sides of the defense (and also in the middle) and Carletto sees him as an alternative to Marcelo, who can also compete with Carvajal for a starting spot at Real.

De Sciglio’s agent, Donato Orgnoni, has already been contacted by Ernesto Bronzetti, who is close to both Florentino Perez and Adriano Galliani, to understand the situation of Mattia. Galliani and Perez met on August 5 in the United States.

No thanks Ancelotti, unless a swap with Varane & buy-out clause for DS,then its possible trade.

Btw even mr Carlo criticise that kaka is beyond his superior form, why the hell we want him back then? Just get Honda & Ljajic we will be fine as we are.

Milan could find their new defender in France after Paris Saint-Germain confirmed Mamadou Sakho wishes to leave
QUOTE
“It’s true, Sakho wants to find a solution and the club’s position is clear,” said PSG Coach Laurent Blanc.

“Until September 2 his situation will develop and we’ll have time to work out an agreement that suits both parties.”

The French international centre-back is out of contract in June 2014, so would be available for a cut-price deal.

It is also possible Sakho will agree to sign a contract renewal with PSG if he can be sent out on loan this season.

The 23-year-old has slipped further down the pecking order under Blanc and is eager for regular playing time in a World Cup year.

Milan are the favourites, but Fiorentina could also show an interest.

I think this would be ideal signing for now coz we really need a reliable defender, not just as backup.

I've already updated the 1st page with new team roster, jersey kit & match schedule.Do let me know if any lack of it.

Other transfer rumours :

Keisuke Honda - Galliani confirmed he will join in January, but there is another meeting with CSKA after 20th (UCL playoff) again to finalise a deal that could bring him earlier than expected.

Adem Ljajic - His father not yet meet with Fiorentina, but the contract extension will be no anti-milan clause but still with 12million buyout that Ljajic not agreed with.

Marchetti - Another bollocks rumour by media since Amelia admitted that he want to leave as Torino insterested with him

Christian Eriksen - His agent stated that he's already got an offer from a Germany (Borrusia Dortmund?) & Italian (Juve @ Milan @ Napoli) club.

Samuel Eto'o - He's admit he wanted a return to either Milanese club, but his wages gonna be problem & the club doesnt need new striker,we are packed.

Atleast there are some players that wanted to join us but we doesnt have hefty cheque just like unnamed club that failed in bidding any top player. tongue.gif

Yup there's two leg games just like in knockout stage round.

MOTM for me,El Sharaawy. Could have scored more goals but was unlucky.

Milan could make a move for highly-rated Ajax youngster Christian Eriksen, according to reports in the Dutch Press.

QUOTE
De Telegraaf have claimed that the Rossoneri could bid for the 21-year-old if they make the Champions League group stages.

Massimiliano Allegri’s men go into the play-off second-leg with PSV next week having drawn 1-1 in Holland yesterday.

And the paper has insisted that should they make it into the tournament proper, they could try and capture the playmaker.

Liverpool have been heavily linked with Eriksen, but are unable to offer the Denmark international European football.
This play-off is the key to all our next signing because Milan would receive minimum of 30million euro if qualified and beaten PSV in next game.

Then the money could be spend to increase the bid for Honda & Ljajic, then we may get either Eriksen or Sakhou.

This is the third time we didnt win our matchday 1 matches in Serie A,really pathetic record. doh.gif

Official: Matri joins Milan

QUOTE
Juventus have sold Alessandro Matri to Milan for approximately €11m, as confirmed by Milan Channel.

The deal had been in the works for some time, but negotiations stepped up a gear after the Rossoneri qualified for the Champions League group phase last night.

This evening Milan Channel celebrated the move by flashing this message: ‘Matri. Welcome back Alessandro.’

That’s because Matri grew up in the Milan youth academy, but was loaned out to several sides before his sale to Cagliari in July 2007 for €2.3m.

It is believed the deal was done for €11m, slightly less than the €12m asking price. The 29-year-old will undergo a medical on Friday.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani had confirmed last night that Coach Massimiliano Allegri requested a new centre-forward.

It is not clear when Giampaolo Pazzini will return from injury after his knee surgery in May.

With Matri's arrival, Milan also loan Andrea Petagna to Sampdoria.

Still im against this transfer,Petagna deserved a place to growth with Milan...haihz. Welcome back home Matri.

Now i've felt like we are favoured this kind of draw because of current lack attendance in san siro stadium. The only game we got fullhouse & bigger margin profit when only against big team in ucl like barca.

So i do think sometimes the draw already been setup by uefa & the club. hmm.gif

Official: Antonini-Birsa swap

QUOTE
Milan have agreed to exchange Luca Antonini with Genoa midfielder Valter Birsa.

Both players have signed three-year contracts as part of the permanent switch.

Antonini also confirmed the news this afternoon by retweeting messages of good luck for his ‘new adventure,' while Birsa has been logged as a Milan player on the Lega Serie A site.

Full-back Antonini had already been linked with Sampdoria and several Turkish clubs over the last few days, but Genoa have won the race.

Birsa is a valuable addition to the Rossoneri midfield and the Slovenian already passed a medical.

The exchange with Genoa was to have involved Milan’s Bakaye Traorè, but he seems to have been ruled out of negotiations.

Keep an eye for our former primavera player Albertazzi playing for Hellas Verona,he really locked Balo in the 1st match,so sturdy in defending, although he had to play out of position. (He is CB but played as LB)

There is also Luca Iotti & Davide Pacifico,Monto praised highly of them while in pre-season.

Not bad at all,but i prefer to play De Jong in front of defense instead of Poli since Poli is box-to-box midfield & already proved that he can linked up nicely with Balotelli (1st goal against Hellas Verona & PSV assist goal) but i still believe that Poli is no good starter,he's more to super sub (Proven against PSV twice) so my bet Allegri wil always chose to start Muntari ahead of him.

Cant wait for January where we can swap between Kaka & Honda ,our depth of midfield should be okey that time. thumbup.gif

Breaking News: AC Milan Did Not List Their B-List Squad For Champions League & Left Behind Niang & Saponara

QUOTE
Milan have released a statement apologising for an error in the Champions League squad list which robbed Mbaye Niang of a place.

The Rossoneri included Stephan El Shaarawy in the A List of players, even though he is eligible for the B List.

That is reserved for players born after January 1 1992 with at least two years at the club.

Because of El Shaarawy’s placement, Niang was left out of the UEFA squad entirely.

This evening Milan released a statement from director Umberto Gandini, who took “full responsibility for the error” in putting together the Champions League squad.

QUOTE
AC Milan struck twice late on to beat luckless Celtic 2-0 in their Champions League Group H opener at the San Siro.

The home side were struggling against Neil Lennon's men and in need of some inspiration as the game entered the final stages.

However, they got a huge slice of luck when defender Cristian Zapata's drive in the 82nd minute appeared to be heading wide before it deflected off Parkhead left-back Emilio Izaguirre and ended up behind Fraser Forster.

The Hoops goalkeeper was beaten again four minutes later despite making a great save from Mario Balotelli's free-kick, as midfielder Sulley Muntari knocked in the rebound.

Much was made of AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri's lengthy injury-list which included the absence of Kaka and captain Riccardo Montolivo for the home side, and indeed they looked disjointed for most of the match.

Much of that, however, was down to the performance of Celtic.

Forster had to make several saves early on and one near the end of the first half, but in between, the visitors enjoyed more than their fair share of possession.

There was a confidence in the way the Scottish champions kept the ball albeit it without threatening Milan keeper Christian Abbiati too much.

After the break Muntari missed a great chance while Hoops' in-form striker Anthony Stokes hit the top of the bar with a free-kick.

The two late goals, though, were a sickener for Celtic who take on Barcelona in their next group fixture at Parkhead at the start of October with Ajax also waiting in the wings.

However, on their overall display, they can go forward in the group with some confidence.

Allegri complained on Tuesday of a long list of absentees but he could still afford to leave Robinho on the bench as he went with former Manchester City forward Balotelli and Alessandro Matri in attack.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

Five minutes from the interval a careless pass towards his own goal from wide on the right from Milan midfielder Valter Birsa went straight to Stokes, who turned Zapata inside the box but his shot took a deflection for a corner, which again the home side defended comfortably.

Seconds into added time in the first half, Forster had to scramble down low to his left to save a low drive from Balotelli which deflected off Hoops defender Efe Ambrose and appeared to heading for the corner of the net.

The visitors started the second half brimming with belief and came close five minutes after the restart when Samaras drove just past the post from 25 yards.

The Milan fans were becoming increasingly frustrated as Celtic encroached into their box with menace although the visitors escaped again in the 62nd minute when Muntari missed a sitter, heading Zapata's cross over from three yards.

Celtic had their best chance in the 67th minute when Commons played in skipper Scott Brown with a clever pass but Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong, who had earlier conceded possession, retrieved the situation with a great saving tackle and the Scotland midfielder's shot lacked the pace to trouble Abbiati.

In the 79th minute Celtic substitute Teemu Pukki, on for Commons, was brought down by De Jong 30 yards from goal but Stokes's free-kick clipped the bar on the way over before the late frustration which started when Zapata's drive from 30 yards took a touch off Izaguirre before nestling behind Forster.

More woe visited Celtic when Brown was booked for a foul on Balotelli, whose curling free-kick from 25 yards was brilliantly saved by Forster, only for Muntari to bundle the rebound in to take the three points.

another lose

http://espnfc.com/en/report/377274/report....et=true&cc=4716

QUOTE
Mario Balotelli lost a personal battle with Pepe Reina as Napoli claimed their first win over AC Milan at San Siro in 27 years to go joint top of the Serie A table.

Diego Maradona was in the visiting team when Napoli last won this fixture in 1986 and South American pair Miguel Britos and Gonzalo Higuain scored the goals to stun Milan 2-1 on home turf on Sunday night.

An end-to-end game, which saw Napoli stay 100 per cent perfect with four wins from four games and join Roma in a share of first place, was most notable for the duel between the mercurial Balotelli and visiting keeper Reina.

The on-loan Liverpool man flicked Balotelli's second-half penalty wide to put paid to the striker's flawless record from the spot but, after being thwarted from open play time and time again, the irate Italian did sneak home a late consolation before seeing red after the final whistle.

The fact Napoli scored at San Siro after just six minutes would have been remarkable had the real story not been their failure to score twice beforehand.

There were 45 seconds on the clock when Marek Hamsik failed to feed Higuain for an easy tap-in and moments later Valon Behrami clipped over an open goal when put through by Federico Insigne.

Milan were at sixes and sevens and, with their defence standing like statues, Raul Albiol clipped a cross into Britos for a simple headed finish.

The restart allowed Milan the chance to regroup and Balotelli tested Reina with an angled drive off his left boot before whipping the ball past a post from a free-kick.

The hosts found some more bite in the middle of the park and Valter Birsa began to cut inside from the left wing to help Balotelli and Alessandro Matri.

Another premium opportunity fell to Balotelli on the half-hour mark, but his right-footed volley flew high into the stands.

There was concern for Milan boss Massimiliano Allegri before the break as Balotelli sat down hurt in the middle of the pitch.

He was able to play on but he might, however, have preferred to stay in the changing rooms and avoid the intense frustration that followed the interval.

The second half was eight minutes old when Higuain exploded forward to shoot straight at Christian Abbiati's outstretched glove.

The light touch was not enough to keep the ball out of his goal, though, and the travelling fans roared again.

They jeered when Matri made a mess of finishing off Balotelli's clever backhee,l but hush descended in the 62nd minute when Milan were awarded a penalty for Albiol's pull on Balotelli.

The Italy striker had never before missed from the spot in 22 career attempts but saw his precious run end as Reina dived the right way to deny him.

Balotelli did not let his head drop and continued to carve out chances, forcing a solid parry from Reina before dancing on to Matri's through-ball to clatter the bar.

The battle of wills between Reina and Balotelli continued into the dying stages and the Spaniard pushed a venomous shot behind for a corner before the striker appealed - unsuccessfully - for another penalty following a tussle with Giandomenico Mesto.

He could perhaps feel vindicated when his right-footed finish beat Reina in stoppage time but his evening would end with a needless red card for dissent as Napoli celebrated a famous victory.

BIG yes for me,when to think back where he won scudetto in his 1st season,he benched Ronaldinho,Pirlo to name few and played fodder instead and managed to win with slimmer margin and again thanks to Ibra magic.

He survived 3rd season with el Sharaawy bombing skill's and arrival of Balotelli and slipped in 2nd half season when we still a contender to Juve. vmad.gif

Mario Balotelli handed three-match ban

Mario Balotelli has been banned for three matches following a confrontation with the referee after AC Milan's loss to Napoli.

Balotelli, who missed a penalty and scored in Sunday's match, was shown a second yellow card after the final whistle for his protests.

The Italy striker will miss the next three matches for making "insulting and intimidating comments" towards the referee.

Balotelli will miss the games against Bologna, Sampdoria and Juventus, although Milan may appeal the suspension.

Milan will have their Curva Sud (south stand) shut for the next home game against Sampdoria as punishment for racist chanting during the loss to Napoli.

In February, Balotelli was subjected to racial taunts by fans of his former club Inter Milan. He kept his composure and held a finger to his mouth to signal for quiet. Inter supporters waved inflated bananas and whistled at Balotelli, who has Ghanaian heritage.

Ajax and AC Milan saved all the drama for the final few minutes as they shared a 1-1 draw in Amsterdam.

A largely uneventful match of few chances came alive in the 89th minute when Stefano Denswil headed in Lasse Schone's corner for Ajax.

But the home fans' celebrations were cut short seconds later as Mike van der Hoorn fouled Mario Balotelli and the Italy striker fired in the resulting penalty - a week after missing his first spot-kick as a professional.

Up to that point, the two teams had done an effective job of cancelling each other out, with the majority of those handful of chances they did create coming from set-pieces.

Ajax threatened early on, but Kolbeinn Sigthorsson saw his close-range effort well saved by Christian Abbiati before Viktor Fischer flashed a shot wide.

Abbiati was in action again in the 34th minute, tipping Lerin Duarte's free-kick over the crossbar, before watching on as Niklas Moisander blazed over following the resulting corner.

Milan had barely a sniff in the opening 45 minutes, but enjoyed the first sight of goal in the second half when Riccardo Montolivo saw his close-range effort pushed away by Jasper Cillessen, before Balotelli hit a free-kick into the wall from a good position.

At the other end Sigthorsson got on the end of a Siem De Jong cross, but his header did not have the power to worry Abbiati as he gathered comfortably.

Balotelli then launched a more menacing shot at goal but Cillessen was equal to it, a wonderful save pushing the ball to safety. It was Balotelli again in the 85th minute but Cillessen once more made the block.

It seemed destined to finish goalless until Denswil nodded home, but Balotelli - who last week missed from the penalty spot in a 2-1 defeat to Napoli, subsequently getting sent off in the same match - earned a shot at redemption as Van der Hoorn was tempted into the foul, and he then placed his effort into the bottom left-hand corner of the net.

The result keeps AC Milan in second place in the group with four points, two behind Barcelona and three ahead of Ajax, with Celtic propping up the others.

Philippe Mexes given four-game ban

AC Milan defender Philippe Mexes has been suspended for four games after a disciplinary panel ruled he punched Juventus defender Giorgio Chiellini.

Mexes, 31, was sent off during Sunday's game, which Juventus won 3-2 in Turin, after receiving two yellow cards, which resulted in a one-match ban.

However, after television evidence was reviewed, it was established that he had also hit Italy international Chiellini during the game and has been suspended for a further three games.

He will now miss the matches against Udinese -- for which the San Siro will be closed as a result of chants during the Juve game -- Parma, Lazio and Fiorentina.

Rami agrees to join Milan - report

QUOTE
Spanish newspaper AS report that Adil Rami has reached an agreement today to join Milan in January on loan from Valencia.

It was reported on Tuesday morning that the Rossoneri were in talks with the player and Los Che over a proposal to sign the 27-year-old in the winter market on a provisional six-month loan deal.

On from Rami reportedly meeting with Milan officials today, it is understood that an agreement has been reached between all parties.

AS say that alongside the player accepting the deal, Milan have accepted Valencia’s request to take on Rami’s full salary from the start of January through to the end of the season.

It is also understood that the Italians have agreed to a €7m purchase option to then make the deal permanent next summer, which, if activated, would sign the player to a four-year contract.

Whilst Milan will only take up payment of the player’s wages after registering him in the winter market, it is understood that he will leave Valencia immediately.

Another cheapskate-desperate kind of signing by G's,we already bought like 5 defender (Acerbi,Zaccardo,Zapata,Silvestre,Vergara) just to occupied where T.Silva left the hole but until now couldnt figure out which is the best. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Rami arrives to Milano today, medical check-ups tomorrow

QUOTE
ADIL RAMI will have his medical already on Saturday but will only be able to start playing with Milan in January.

The January transfer window is quite a long way from now but Milan have already made their first winter signing, securing the transfer of Valencia’s center back Adil Rami who will join the Rossoneri on loan with an option to be bought.

Rami is on terrible terms with Valencia after publicly criticizing the club and the coach in the summer and they looked to offload him as soon as possible. Milan beat other European clubs to the 27-year-old and the player is all set to arrive.

The Frenchman, who is not cup-tied and is good friends with Philippe Mexes, will arrive to Italy today and will be examined by the MilanLab on Saturday at Milanello. Valencia authorized the defender (1.90m, 88kg) to start training with Milan before his move get is official in January. Milan will pay around €0.5m for the loan and the buy-out clause has been set at €6m.

“I have just concluded the transfer, so it is complete,” Ernesto Bronzetti, who acted as the intermediary between Valencia and Milan, told Radio Kiss Kiss yesterday. “The player will go to Milan despite a recent interest from Rafa Benitez at Napoli. The Frenchman was wanted by many clubs, including foreign clubs, but at the end he chose the Rossoneri.” Many believe that Rami will be an upgrade over current CB’s Mexes and Cristian Zapata, who’ve let it 13 goals in just 7 Serie A rounds.

Now they realize how f*cked up our defense, then they willing to spend?

Rami looks like a good pickup, especially at the relatively low price IMO.

but the way of his outburst at Mestalla is quite... 'astonishing' to say the least. doh.gif

valter birsa scored the goal for milan vs udinese

AC Milan 1-0 Udinese
QUOTE
AC Milan leapfrogged Udinese to move to eighth in Serie A thanks to a 1-0 win at the San Siro.

Valter Birsa's 22nd-minute strike was enough to earn the Rossoneri only their third win of the season - all coming at home - and edge them closer to the top five, inflicting Udinese's fourth defeat of the campaign.

It was also a decent warm-up for Massimiliano Allegri's men ahead of a Champions League clash with Barcelona on Tuesday.

Without the injured Mario Balotelli, who is also doubtful for Tuesday night, Allegri resisted the temptation of hastening Kaka's return from injury although the Brazilian did take his place on the bench.

With the first foggy evening of the autumn in Milan, that was hardly an ideal place for him to keep his muscles warm, and indeed the two teams appeared to be a little cold with the game in need of a spark.

Birsa tried to provide it with the first shot of the evening, saved easily by Ivan Kelava, before the former Genoa midfielder opened the scoring midway through the first half.

He picked up the ball 20 yards from goal and curled a left-footed shot away from Kelava's reach, nestling in the top right-hand corner.

The Rossoneri may have made the breakthrough but they certainly did not look fully in control of the game, especially not in the early exchanges of the second half.

The Zebrette finally started to put Milan's 21-year-old goalkeeper Gabriel to the test, with Antonio Di Natale predictably leading the way.

In the 63rd minute, the rookie goalkeeper responded in style, getting his fingertips to Di Natale's free-kick to get just enough of a touch to divert the ball onto the top of the crossbar.

Kaka then made his long-awaited return to the San Siro, setting foot on home turf in a Milan shirt for the first time since May 2009 and giving the home fans something to cheer - although there still remained more concern among the fans as Udinese continued to threaten an equaliser.

Muriel probably should have provided it in the 84th minute when he failed to take the ball in his stride when presented with just Gabriel to beat, Ignazio Abate recovering to put the Udinese forward off as Milan held on for a morale-boosting win.

What's your opinion on Gabriel's mighty debut performance? Many taunted him to be the next selecao GK in the future. I hope this game boost his confidence and better yet surpassed Dida.

MOTM Gabriel congratulated by Kaka & Robinho after the match ended.

AC Milan advisory board member Barbara Berlusconi has called for changes at the club, although coach Massimiliano Allegri’s job appears safe for the time being.  vmad.gif  mad.gif

In response to Milan’s worst start to a season since 1981, Berlusconi has asked her father, club president Silvio Berlusconi, to make changes to the way the club is run in future after a series of disappointing results left the Rossoneri languishing 16 points behind the top three after only 11 games.

Allegri’s job is hanging in the balance, while the club’s fans also called for general manager Adriano Galliani to go during a 2-0 defeat to Fiorentina at the weekend, but neither man’s future was directly on the agenda when Barbara spoke to Silvio on Sunday.

“In the numerous telephone conversations I’ve had with my father after the Fiorentina defeat, all I asked for was for a change in the business philosophy of AC Milan,” she said in La Gazzetta dello Sport. “I’ve not asked for the general manager Adriano Galliani to be changed.”

According to Italy’s ANSA news agency, Barbara was not critical of the lack of investment in new players but rather concerned that the money has not been well spent, indirectly blaming Galliani, whose role it is to identify and sign new players.

However, former Milan captain Gennaro Gattuso believes greater investment is required if they are to reclaim former glories.

“If you want to build a strong team then you need to spend money,” he told Rai 3 television. “Milan are not going through a good time and they’re not spending much.

“Berlusconi has spent lots over the years and he’s made this club win many trophies. There always comes a time when the team is not as competitive and you need strong players, which this club has, but there are even stronger sides out there.”

But not to deny, yes we are shit now... Might as well ask allegri not to put a GK. Or just ask the GK do nothing. Just stand one spot dead, if can reach then save, if cannot reach biarlah.

Look at our next wonderkid Hachim Mastour, already starting few games with Inzaghi's Primavera squad, next year he could be introduce into senior team and hope that time Allegri is not around or he will ended up just like Cristante,a bench warmer.

AC Milan fans trap players

Angry AC Milan supporters have reportedly prevented players leaving the San Siro and demanded a meeting with the team after the 1-1 draw with Genoa.

Milan slipped further down the Serie A table after two early strikes to Kaka and Genoa’s Alberto Gilardino split the spoils.

Genoa goalkeeper Mattia Perin was the hero on the day, repelling all of Milan’s attacks including a Mario Balotelli penalty.

The result means that Massimiliano Allegri’s men have now gone five matches in the league without a win.

And according to reports, supporters from San Siro’s Curva Sud blocked the exits following the full-time whistle, demanding talks with the Allegri and the players about the club’s current plight.

"These players don't know what sacrifice is. They have so much money, while people like us work hard for them," a Curva Sud spokesperson told reporters.

The fans had earlier unfurled a banner proclaiming "Let's meet by the exit you unworthy lot", while after the match, Kaka and Christian Abbiati reportedly tried to meet a section of the supporters.

I prefer Shaqiri since we have no one that can adapt playing as right winger (Niang is too young & no consistent),our midfield is already tighten with arrival of Honda where he can exchanges position with Kaka.

My Future Dream
by Keisuke Honda

When I grow up, I want to become - or rather, I will become - the world's best footballer.

In order to become the best in the world, I need to train harder than anyone in the world. That's why I'm working hard right now. I suck right now, but I'll give it my all in order to become the best in the world.

I'll become famous at the World Cup, receive offers from abroad, and join the Serie A in Europe. Then, I'll become a starter and star as the #10. I want to make at least four billion yen (~40 million USD) a year. I dream of signing a contract with Puma to produce boots and training jackets, and of people around the world buying them.

On another note, I will play in the World Cup, which is the biggest tournament held every four years, under the eyes of everyone in the world. Being a star playing in Serie A, I will return to Japan to join the national team meetings, being entrusted with the #10 jersey as the team's marquee player. I want to beat Brazil 2-1 in the final. My dream is to score this goal in tandem with my older brother, exchanging good passes to beat the world's best.

AVB? Just a rumour from english tabloid. Possible replacement would be Seedorf (He's raw but he's ready when he said so ,plus he said wanted to bring Stam as assistance coach flex.gif ),Prandelli (After World Cup), Inzaghi (Had a good season with Primavera squad).

I dont care who's gonna be as long Allegri get the hell out from this club,he's effing clueless coach i've ever watched.

According to Tuttosport, the marketing campaign around Honda’s arrival in Serie A is already in full swing and worth €7m per season – not counting shirt sales.

It’s rumoured some of Milan’s matches could even be moved in order to have kick-off times more suited to the Japanese television audience.

This would see the Rossoneri play more often at 11.30am GMT, which is 12.30 in Italy and 20.30 in Tokyo.

Maybe in the future we wont have to wait until 3am to watch matches as the club is targeting Asia audience. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Relax,Milan is UCL DNA champion,not Serie A hoarders. tongue.gif

We are hunting for another DM to play double pivot with De Jong? Fernando Reges is midfielder for F.C Porto.

Galliani has offered Fernando Reges an annual salary of €3m (Galliani met with the player's agent in Rio de Janeiro last week)

The salary is too high IMO, even Honda only earn €2.5+ m but Galliani is out of control again with the offer given. doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Am i the only one watching the game against sassuolo right now? Meanwhile..berardi just scored a hattrick against us at half time after 2 goals down..

And the fact that sassuolo didnt score a single goal for their last 5 matches makes me think what the hell is wrong with our defending?

And then i realize, oh there's bonera..haha

I watched the game this morning and this game truly prove how suck is Allegrishit is as a coach.

Fielding Bonera instead of Mexes and Rami eventhough he made many mistakes in first half? doh.gif doh.gif doh.gif

Then he goes panic mode by bringing the guy he said need to adapt italian football Honda after 4 goals concede, prove he doesnt have any f*cking idea what to play.

This is totally shameful and disgrace for a elite club and he must be sack right now along with baldie. Enough is enough.

watched a bit of the match, hav to say Allegri is quite possibly the most clueless and yet stubborn manager i ever seen. While Bonera is bad, Zapata is actually not any better - he was very static and slow.

its mind blowing to actually realized that Allegri won the Scudetto before sweat.gif

Yeah i like the idea of bringing back a former coach, but it always ended up badly just like Sacchi told that he regret of coming back to coach Milan in 96-97.

Journalist at Holland confirmed that Seedorf will appointed to be the first team coach this Thursday after Coppa Italia game againts Spezzia.

Japp Stam will arrived as assistant coach next season and there's also rumours to bring Hernan Crespo,Patrick Kluivert and Edgar Davids as Seedorf want a coach in every specific position played.

This gonna be epic to have all the Dutches as coaching staff. flex.gif

Will that be a good idea? Bringing former players with no past managerial experience to be our head coach? Milan is a club with huge expectations..just like the other big clubs in europe..i still think that inzaghi will be a better choice..or gattuso since he was a player-manager and now a manager at sion..but we'll see..

Clarence Seedorf to coach Milan

Seedorf: "There's a special feeling for AC Milan"
Clarence Seedorf has announced that he is ending his playing career to become the new head coach of AC Milan.

Clarence Seedorf has announced he is to retire from playing with immediate effect to replace sacked manager Massimiliano Allegri at AC Milan.

Seedorf, 37, has been released from his playing contract with Botafogo to allow him to pursue a coaching career with the Rossoneri, who parted company with Allegri on Monday in the wake of Sunday's 4-3 defeat at Sassuolo.

The loss left Milan languishing in 11th place in the table, 30 points behind league leaders Juventus and 20 points outside the Champions League places.

"I want to announce that I'm ending my playing career," Seedorf said at a news conference in Brazil. "It has been a difficult night for me, but I end satisfied with what I have achieved in my career. I want to thank everybody at Botafogo. This experience will help me a lot in my next step, which will be as coach of Milan."

"Football is part of my life, but it is not all of my life. I knew it would come to an end sooner or later. This is a new challenge, but I'm relaxed about it."

Seedorf returns to a club which was in a much healthier position when he left. He left in the summer of 2012 after Milan finished second to Juventus. He spent 10 years as a player at Milan, winning the Champions League twice.

Allegri was made to pay for an enduring bad spell of form, thus hastening Seedorf's anticipated summer arrival at the club. The Dutchman was contacted by Milan president Silvio Berlusconi immediately.

"Given my relationship with president Berlusconi, when he called me yesterday, I couldn't say no," said Seedorf.

"If I could have played on another five years, I would have stayed here because Botafogo have a young, competitive team. We've improved not only technically, but also as a team. Even after me, Botafogo will remain great."

Seedorf is due to arrive in Milan in time to see them face Spezia in the Coppa Italia on Wednesday evening. Mauro Tassotti will take charge of the team for the game, and he has already wished his successor all the best.

"Certainly Seedorf is not lacking the ability to do well," he said at a news conference in Milan. "He has a great personality and this will help him a great deal. I have no particular advice for Seedorf. He knows the club as well as I do. If he wants to know more about the situation of the players, then I'd be only too happy to oblige."

Seedorf's next step will be to bid farewell to his Botafogo players before boarding a plane to Milan, to embark on the next chapter in his footballing career.

"I wish I could hug all the fans one by one," said Seedorf. "My last game, scoring a goal, was incredible. I still have time to hug all of my teammates and I want to thank everybody at Botafogo."

Botafogo's president Mauricio Assumpcao also wanted to thank him, presenting the Dutchman with a framed photo, wishing him "good luck" in Italian. "We wanted him to stay with us, but football is gaining a great coach," he said. "People are going to be chasing Milan in future."

Yeah but a dry loan,he will come back again next season.I've dont mind if the club wanted to keep him as backup striker but his wage is huge (4m if not mistaken) and not ideal for that role.

Super Mario with another great freekick. Pazzini goal assisted by Honda curling corner kick was the best, deadly duo indeed.

Maldini,Trapattoni,Capello and Ancelloti for me was a great player during their professional football career and successful in their coaching era too.

Even Arrigo Sachi never was a footballer before he took Milan to his reign,he was a shoe salesman.

Give him a time and support from the club,he will bring back the former glory of AC Milan once we knew.

*
Current First XI (6) : Abbiati,DeSciglio,Bonera,Montolivo,Balotelli,Pazzini

Bench (6) : Amelia,Zaccardo,Poli,Cristante,Saponara,Petagna

Out Injured (1) : El Sharaawy

Milan should promote more homegrown player after seeing how talented & performing is De Sciglio right now.

Mastour could be promoted but I think they wont rush him into first squad just yet.

Priorities should be defense since the club is chronic at that position.

Yeah he did comparing himself with Boateng last season.

This guy had so much talent but i wouldnt want another Cassano cases where that talent was wasted with douchebag attitude.

I hope Seedorf could guide him to behave just like Balotelli now.

Undeserved lose. We could end the match earlier with so many woodworks from Kaka and Poli but ended with silly mistake in setpiece corner.

I still believe the team can salvage something in 2nd leg.

Honda last 2 minutes played in injury time are disaster, but before that he play what he should play to, all up to his teammate, Honda have made few good chance but Pazzini failed it... i have watch Pazzini play at Inter before, he already not as good as he play for Sampdoria.

Yeah to be fair he just came back from International duty & played full time both Japan & recent match.

For me he still struggle to adapt with Italian football,so might take the whole season for him before he started terrorizing the defence.

Btw there is a rumours of Man Utd keen to sign Mexes.....how about a deal of swapping Mexes - Kagawa?

I would love to see both star rated Japanese attacking midfielder played together....might boost confidence of each other. tongue.gif

AC Milan 2 - 4 Parma

mad.gif vmad.gif cry.gif sad.gif
AC Milan's miserable fortnight took a turn for the worse as old boy Antonio Cassano inspired Parma to a 4-2 victory at San Siro.

The pressure has been building on coach Clarence Seedorf following back-to-back Serie A defeats to Juventus and Udinese while the seven-time European champions limped out of the Champions League this week.

Seedorf has played down reports of a falling-out with striker Mario Balotelli, who scored Milan's second after Adil Rami weakened the impact of Cassano's early brace, but the Italy striker continues to flatter to deceive.

To make matters worse, the Rossoneri will be without Christian Abbiati for next week's trip to Lazio after the veteran goalkeeper saw red in the opening minutes.

Amauri and Jonathan Biabiany scored late on to ensure all three points went back to Parma as the Ducale club reached fifth place on the back of a third straight win.

Roberto Donadoni's men are unbeaten since early November and dreaming of a return to European competition, while Milan slipped into the bottom half.

In the fifth minute Abbiati earned a red card for bringing Ezequiel Schelotto down in the area and Cassano did not have to be asked twice to beat early substitute Marco Amelia from the spot.

Milan knew they had to respond quickly or else they would implode and Balotelli elicited gasps when his shot from a corner move rattled a post.

Shortly before the break Philippe Mexes risked scoring a calamitous own goal to further compound Milan's misery, but Amelia managed to push the defender's poor clearance to safety.

Six minutes after play resumed, Cassano made it 2-0 with a second goal against his former club.

The Italy striker, who had almost seen his pass to Afriyie Acquah tucked away moments earlier, took an assist from the Ghanaian and gladly converted his brace.

Enough was enough for the Rossoneri, it seemed, and Rami bit back with a thunderous header from Kaka's cross to drag Milan back into the tie in the 56th minute.

Their tails were up and, when Joel Obi fouled Riccardo Montolivo in the Parma box, Balotelli fired Milan level with a dummied penalty that sent Antonio Mirante the wrong way.

But nothing is ever simple for Milan these days and the equaliser proved to be a false dawn. Almost immediately following the restart, Amauri's clever backheel on a Schelotto pass fooled Amelia to hand the advantage to Parma once again.

Hush descended at San Siro and, while most of the Milan faithful began to trickle out of the stadium early, Biabiany confirmed the final outcome with a header that wrapped up another unhappy adventure for the home team.

Looks like Seedorf bench is safe all over again. It is always a good to obtained 3 points from top 5 team in the league.

For me,just give Seedorf face for at atleast until the beginning of next season,he have much work to do right now.

If Mario seriously want to go after worldcup, then we should atleast secure on par striker like him.....Dzeko maybe?

Whatever choice he made,he always been remembered as golden boy of Rossoneri......

TLDR version = Galliani do not want a coach that has idea above him, hence why Maldini wasnt given any roles until now. shocking.gif

Fifth consecutive win, last time Milan did was 2011 season.
Europa spot will be claimed after next matches : AS Roma & Inter

Hey there fellow Red/Blacks!... I know i've been away from this forum for quite some time.. probably 3-4 years of hiatus.. sorry i've beeen very busy!

Now that I have plenty of time on my hands, I would like to be part of this glorious thread! AGAIN!

Last year, I was in Milan to catch a game against Bologna... it was a surreal experience!

I have a question, do we have an official Milan charter here in Malaysia? I was a member of ACMilan club NY/NJ while I was in USA.

haha coz fielding 3 midfield aint enough for club like Milan, but that's like decade ago when we have supreme midfield players on the line. cry.gif

Thats why Inzaghi personally request for Iturbe, he will be competing on right wing alongside Menez.

TLDR versyun the club is targeting a Winger and a LB. I said no to Nani, better loan Lucas Moura or getting Lavezzi instead.

THere is still slimmest chance for Iturbe, but wont hope high upon it. Cerci is the second option.

Rumour stated that it will be FREE permanent transfer deal, just like Kaka. Galliani did it again. tongue.gif

While Pablo Armero will join Milan for a dry loan. Medical & sign Monday next week.

Plus Milan will not be competing CL next season,so it would be hard to sign any good players from now on.

Confirmed by Milan Channel. He already emptied his locker room & his agent otw to Liverpool.

Thanks for everything Mario, I was hoping him to be a pillar for the youth project but he never accomplished what I expected him to be. Jackson Martinez could be the replacemen but im not fondly love him.

Time for new siggy....sigh.

Many things at fault. Most of his goals are from penalty but he's very good in setpiece deadball. Milan were not good in selling players this recent seasons (remember Ibra + T.Silvas for mere 40m to PSG).

His attitude is mindblowing. Sometime he played good, sometimes he gone emotional & start play badly enough to bring the team down. For example he was deployed as poacher striker inside penalty box, but he's so often playing out of position/penalty box to reach for the ball earlier.

Unless the club are getting a wc striker & winger, can say goodbye to top 3 position too next season.

Overall it was a good performances from the team, so much differences than before this pre-season matches.

Honda's V-tec finally kick in yo! MOTM. SES & Menez would be deadly duo in winger after this.

Welcome Van Ginkel, I hope he's gonna fit into 4-3-3 ideally because Pippo need an engine player that can link both defense & forward together.

It took Galliani 40 minute just to finalised Bonaventura deal, damn this bald head guy seriously good. Unfortunately the talented young midfielder Bryan Cristante left for Benfica because he doesnt want to be bench by Muntari & Essien. doh.gif

Here complete list of transfer IN deal, bravo Galliani only spend 18m to built back the squad this year.

Adriano Galliani has commented on the purchases of Giacomo Bonaventura and Marco van Ginkel.

The Rossoneri completed the signing of the Atalanta playmaker late on deadline day, in a deal that the board member has described as ‘one of the more unusual’.

Whilst the San Siro outfit also brought in the Dutch youngster from Chelsea in a season-long loan.

“The purchase of Bonaventura was one of the most unusual deals I have done in 29 years,” he told reporters.

“At 20.00 we thought that we were going to exchange Biabiany and Zaccardo, but when that was off, we had this idea.

The player was heading to Milan, but to another club. (loled @ Inter) The player and his agent told me to meet them in the city, and that’s how we got the deal done.

“Van Ginkel resisted initially. It’s not that he didn’t want to join us – he just thought that he could get into the Chelsea team.

“But Mourinho is a great Coach, and told the lad that after an eight-month lay-off through injury, coming here would be good for him.

“I then asked [countryman Nigel] De Jong to speak to him, and Fernando Torres as well. Eventually he said yes.”

Milan Channel report that De Jong taking his own initiative ask to renew his contract with Milan. Sorry Van Gaal.

Lopez was not feeling well before the match, Abbiati step-up & did his brilliant saves few times in last night match, felt really secure when you have 2 top notch goalkeeper this year. tongue.gif

Torres is really an intelligent player, Inzaghi praised him because his movement allowed the space to be opened for the winger.

Here is the goal scored by Honda yesterday, look how Torres open the defenses line due to marking on him. He is the opposite of Balotelli. laugh.gif

AC Milan 2-0 Napoli

http://footyroom.com/ac-milan-2-0-napoli-2014-12/
http://www.espnfcasia.com/italian-serie-a/...n-napoli/report

AC Milan are only two points shy of the final Champions League place after beating their Serie A rivals Napoli 2-0 at San Siro.

Jeremy Menez notched his eighth goal of the season shortly after kick-off and Giacomo Bonaventura pushed the Rossoneri into a dominant position with a header just after half-time.

The result means Milan climb above Napoli and into seventh place. Immediately above them are Lazio, Sampdoria and Genoa, who are all locked on 26 points and also targeting continental football.

Milan wasted no time opening the scoring in front of an expectant home crowd.

Only six minutes were on the clock when Menez accelerated to reach Bonaventura's through-ball before steering it beyond Rafael Cabral with a cool, hooked finish.

Napoli took a while to respond but, when they did, they thought they had equalised through Gonzalo Higuain - the Argentinian clipped into an empty net in the 21st minute but was ruled offside.

The Azzurri took heart from their near miss, however, and laid siege to Diego Lopez's goal for three frenetic minutes.

First, David Lopez saw his namesake repel his snapshot, then the Milan goalkeeper got down to cover Jose Callejon's stab at the rebounding ball.

The best chance fell to Higuain moments later, but he could not fool the keeper with a bicycle kick.

On 34 minutes Milan bit back in style, with Andrea Poli wriggling past Jorginho to sneak into the box and flash a left-footed drive just wide of the far post.

The Rossoneri were lucky to take their lead into the break, though, as Philippe Mexes went dangerously close to turning Higuain's low shot into his own net.

Filippo Inzaghi's men repeated their feat of the first half by catching their opponents cold shortly after the restart.

In the 52nd minute Bonaventura was the man best placed to guide Pablo Armero's perfect cross past Rafael, thus doubling Milan's advantage.

Goal number three might have arrived soon after as Menez sent Poli into a confrontation with Rafael that the Napoli stopper only just managed to survive.

Milan came knocking again around the hour mark when a fantastic move from Menez sent him past two defenders, only for Kalidou Koulibaly to shepherd him off the ball.

On-loan Udinese winger Armero risked scoring an own-goal when clearing the ball off Duvan Zapata's feet but still Napoli came sniffing and Higuain soon flashed a volley just wide of the mark.

The Azzurri did find spaces to exploit as time ticked away in Milan, but the impressive Diego Lopez would deny Higuain the satisfaction of a consolation goal with his stunning save from a fizzing drive.

Great friendly and even sweeter when you defeated the club world cup champion this year. Great to see the great Ancelloti against his former pupil Pippo Inzaghi on the side pitch, really magnificent moment.

El Sharaawy named as MOTM as he scored brace in this game. Menez and Pazzini also scored in this game. I am more convince that Milan can fight for the champions league spot this season compared to last season.

san siro stadium doesnt owned by neither AC nor Inter. milan city council owns it. both ac + inter paying loan to city council on a yearly basis.
barbara pushed forward this stadium plan. at least a place call home finally albeit smaller capacity.

not the usual 0-0 dull draw. attacking from both sides is superb. just that no finishing and great saves at both ends.

Something is not right with the club that i started to support since 1990. It all started after the defeat to Liverpool in UCL.

There is no more flair to it. Good players are being sold like kingdoms come. Coaches come and go.

Take the previous coach as an example, massio alegeri. Did not perform well in Milan but went to Juventus and won the league and now is in the final of UCL.

Did not want to renew Andrea Pirlo's contract, so he went over to Juventus and look what has he done during these 3-4 years there.

Something is really not right at the top in Milan. Specially when you have a lady as a boss

Thanks to Berlusconi reluctant to spend more money for this club. The club should thanks to Barbara because she's the one that initiate the Casa Milan & the upcoming stadium project.

The club are way lagging behind Juventus in terms of generating it's own incomes as the only make us alive because of main sponsorship (Adidas, Fly Emirates etc.)

Now Berlusconi said he can still keep the club by making an all-Italian team project which I doubt it will take the club back to top flight with mediocre players right now. doh.gif

Carlo Ancelotti will coach AC Milan, says Silvio Berlusconi

AC Milan chairman Silvio Berlusconi says Carlo Ancelotti is the only candidate to be the next coach at the club, and has hinted the former Real Madrid boss' arrival is a forgone conclusion.

Berlusconi's side has suffered through a disappointing campaign, which has seen the Rossoneri slump to 10th in the Serie A table under Filippo Inzaghi.

But the former Italian prime minister believes Ancelotti, a European Cup winner as a player and coach with Milan, is the only man to turn fortunes around.

"Alternatives? I don't want to consider alternatives to Ancelotti," Berlusconi told Mediaset, which he owns. "We'll talk about these things later, if Ancelotti doesn't come. But since he will come, there is no need to even have these conversations."

Despite Ancelotti's insistence that he wants to take a year off, Milan joint-CEO Adriano Galliani travelled to Spain last week to convince the a San Siro return -- a homecoming that would please Berlusconi and Milan's fans.

"I hope there's a big chance Ancelotti will become the next Milan coach," Berlusconi said. "Going around for my election campaign, all the Milan fans have advised me to bring Ancelotti back. I've listened, and found a solution, with the same desire to win.

"He's a winner, he's won everywhere he's coached. Now he'll have a minor operation and will take his decision, which is also down to his family.

"I hope it's a positive decision for Milan, because he's very much wanted at Milan."

Galliani said on Thursday that he felt there was a "50-50" chance Ancelotti would return this season.

In addition to Ancelotti, the Milan chief expressed his desire to bring back former star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, whom the club sold to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2012.

"I'm fixated on his return, although it's a very difficult thing to make happen, and it will take patience," Berlusconi said. "But he's magnificent on the pitch."

Ibrahimovic, who exited along with former Milan defender Thiago Silva that summer, has been a key player for the ambitious Parisians since his arrival at the French capital

After watching him played this season, I dont mind another free agent player as long he delivered the result.

Another news, the club wanted to bring back Ibrahimovic but his pay wage is too much. Better bring back Thiago Silva than Ibra.

Nelio Lucas offered the 21-year old central defender Doria to Milan during yesterday's meeting with Galliani. [Corriere dello Sport]

Taunted to be the next Thiago Silva at Botafago, Milan have scouted this guy years ago. I think he is ready for the next level.

Galliani giving a hint that Milan could lost Martinez too after Kondogbia derby. shakehead.gif

GALLIANI: “THE KONDOGBIA DEAL WAS DONE, IF WE SAVE €40M FROM HIM AND MAYBE €35M FROM MARTINEZ…”

QUOTE
Geoffrey Kondogbia signed a five-year contract with Inter last night (the move will be official after the medical on Monday but the papers have been signed). Milan were battling the Nerazzurri for his signing and according to Adriano Galliani, they had a deal in place for the player but then things took a turn.

“The Kondogbia deal was done at 13:30 CET,” Galliani said as reported by Gazzetta. “Monaco had agreed to sell him to us for €40m, to be paid in two installments: 20 & 20. The agreement that we made with Kondogbia on Friday evening, was confirmed on Saturday morning by the player and his father.

“After we exchanged documents at 13:30 CET, they changed their minds or the other party offered them more money.” Inter will pay the player a figure close to €5 million net for five years and will also pay a substantial figure to Monaco (probably close to €40m) so it total the deal could be worth €70m.

SOS Rossoneri Blog.

Im fine with Kondogbia since it is way ovepriced for a 40m & whats funny is Kondogbia's father SMS'ed Galliani & told him to meet at Milano tomorrow. You're signing for the wrong team i guess? laugh.gif

but for Martinez, it would be disappointed to lose him when Galliani could close the deal earlier before Coppa America commence. Galliani losing his tocuh already? doh.gif

After the disappointment over Jackson Martinez & Kondogbia, I was skeptical to post any rumours of any deal come with, but yeah Bacca is coming if this one true enoough.

Report: Milan seal Bacca transfer

QUOTE
It’s now reported that Milan have agreed terms with both Sevilla and Carlos Bacca for €30m. “He is very happy.”

This evening the Colombia international’s agent confirmed to several sources, including Calciomercato.com, Milannews.it and Sky Sport Italia, that Bacca had a deal with the Rossoneri.

“I can confirm that Milan and the player reached an agreement,” representative Sergio Barila told MilanNews.it.

“Carlos chose what is best for his future, so it’s only natural he is happy.”

According to Sky Sport Italia, just a couple of hours later the two clubs also agreed terms for the €30m transfer, to be paid over several instalments.

CEO Adriano Galliani rushed to a meeting with Sevilla director of sport Monchi and they quickly reached a positive conclusion.

As Colombia went out of the Copa America last night on penalties against Argentina, 28-year-old Bacca is available to fly in for a medical.

The transfer could well be completed within 24 hours.

It’s believed to be a five-year contract starting at €2.5m per season, rising to over €3m plus bonuses.

Milan have officially announced the mutual termination of Sulley Muntari’s contract after three and a half years at the club.

The Ghana international was widely expected to depart San Siro this summer after falling out of favour this season, making only 17 appearances in all competitions.

“AC Milan and Sulley Muntari announce that they have consensually resolved the sporting contract that bound them today,” read a statement on acmilan.com.

“AC Milan would like to thank Muntari for the commitment, devotion and professionalism that he always demonstrated while wearing the Milan shirt and in the defence of the Rossoneri colours.

“We wish him every  success the remainder of his playing career.”

Muntari scored 13 goals in 83 appearances for the Rossoneri since first arriving on loan in January 2012.

Scudetto should be on top of the list next season. With Ibrahimovic, everything is possible. There's rumour that PSG would let go Ibrahimovic if Ronaldo join them @ Milan willing to sell young talent Hachim Mastour to them.

Now the club wanted to sign Gundogan? Seriously where is the new defender promises?

Milan Will Be Getting New Stadium by 2019

QUOTE
Milan have officially won the right to build their new stadium in the Portello area of the city – next to Casa Milan.

The project had been in the works for six months, but this evening the Fondazione Fiera Milano finally gave the all-clear.

The Rossoneri hope to have their new purpose-built 48,000-seater arena ready to open for the 2018-19 season.

This Portello area was considered particularly precious because it is facing the high-tech Casa Milan headquarters built recently.

Milan still need clearance from the Milan Council, but this hurdle was considered the most difficult to overcome.

The club out-bid another group trying to rent the land by offering €3.95m per year for 50 years.

Source: Football Italia

50k capacity is really small at first, but I believe the club would expand it in the future. It will be developed by Arup group, the same company that architect the Allianz Arena of Bayern Munich football club.

Former AS Roma youth product, Alessio Romagnoli has agreed to join Milan from AS Roma for a record fee of 25m euro, the 2nd highest fee paid by Milan for a defender behind Nesta = 30m euro.

He will also be wearing the same jersey number that Nesta wore for 10 years.
Mihajlovic rated him highly because he played well under him last season at Sampdoria.

Probably Zapata since rumours circulate that both Alex & Paletta want to leave. I also likened Rodrigo Ely judging by his recent form in pre-season, but he have the same traits like Romagnoli which is left footed defender.

#GdS: Balotelli will take his medical tomorrow. Loan with option to buy at €10M, with Milan paying 50% of his wages.

I've said no to permanent deal, why should we pay back Liverpool for what he cost us in the 1st place, this guy wont change, he just another Adriano with huge talent but wasting it just like that.

Sinisa Mihajlovic furious with AC Milan players despite his side's first victory
QUOTE
AC Milan manager Sinisa Mihajlovic was livid and said his side "did not deserve to win" after Saturday's 2-1 victory over Empoli.

Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano provided the goals as Milan claimed their first win of the season, but the result did little to placate Mihajlovic after the game.

"We did not deserve to win," Mihajlovic told reporters. "Nothing has changed from last season. There was too much fear."

Mihajlovic took over afer Milan's finished 10th under Filippo Inzaghi last season.

The new boss was angry with his team's response after Milan conceded an equaliser just four minutes after Bacca's opener.

"After Empoli scored there was a total blackout," Mihajlovic said. "The only reason we won was thanks to the two strikers who got goals out of nowhere.

"The only thing to save about tonight was the result. We did relatively well until we conceded the goal, then we just collapsed.

"The team was too timid and the only difference from last season was the two strikers who created something out of nothing."

Mihajlovic suggested that Milan's problems were more mental than physical.

"We above all have to work on our minds. We work well during the week and train properly, then in the game the strikers make the right movements and are never given the ball," he said.

"We have to do something on a psychological level, because we cannot go on like this. We're strong in attack, but they need service, otherwise they won't score."

Mihajlovic then criticised his midfielders for leaving his forward on an island.

"The only reason they got those two goals was they created them themselves," said the manager. "The midfield didn't move well, didn't take risks or take responsibility, always going for simple passes that were never going to break through Empoli.

"Clearly the most important work I have to do is psychologically. I had thought until tonight that we were doing fairly well.

"Milan would've lost this game a year ago, but that is only because they didn't have these strikers. Nothing else has changed."

Mihajlovic said it was up to him to remove the "fear" he sees is limiting Milan.

"I do not understand this fear the team has," he said. "I know San Siro is a demanding crowd, but we must show more character.

"I have to make the players shake off this fear and rediscover the joy of playing football. Something is wrong in their heads.

"I take responsibility, as it is my job to put this grit and determination into the team. Once we shake these ghosts of the past off, the team will do well."

Didn't deserve to lose but luck ran to Inter. Overall Milan did great but Inter made a parking bus in a late minutes & wasting too much time. (Typical Mancini)

This game prove that he can play at trequarista role behind Bacca & Adriano. Give the time to gel in the trio & I believe they can be devastating in later part of the season.

AC Milan deal with Bee Taechaubol confirmed by Silvio Berlusconi

QUOTE
AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi has confirmed a deal with Thai investor Bee Taechaubol for a 48 percent stake in the Serie A club has been reached, and the contracts will be signed just days after his 79th birthday at the end of the month.

Former Italian prime minister Berlusconi has been in talks with potential investors for nearly a year now and Taechaubol signed a memorandum of understanding on one of his many visits to Milan in January.

It has taken since then -- and several more visits -- for the details of the agreement to be ironed out, but Berlusconi has set the date for the sale of a substantial but not majority stake in his club.

Berlusconi will remain the club's president with Taechaubol becoming vice-president once the deal goes through.
