yes, no need 2 unlock bootloader, won't brick ur device also
if keep restarting or stuck, just hard reset

Hey planning to get a Xperia TX for someone, and I want honest opinions from the people here regarding this phone. Any cons about this phone? I have googled some reviews for this phone, and there were some not-so-good reviews especially this two: Gizmodo and Chanelnews. And this is also an interesting review: AndroidAuthority , and this: AndroidPolice. I post here to ask for opinions of users of this phone, I hope u all are not biased as well laugh.gif Because as we know, some of these review sites tend to be biased towards one brand like Apple , Samsung etc. What I'm concerned about is the supposedly low battery life, and laggy software. Wouldn't want my friend to get a bad phone from me smile.gif

I've been using Nokia all the way before changing to TX. Battery wise I have to charge around twice a day now since I browse and use apps alot. Software wise I feel it okay. Not laggy whatsoever. Now just waiting for jelly bean update biggrin.gif

battery life is abt 4hours + of web browsing using 3g
would last abt 7 hours with 3G turned on with line & facebook app & email app, activated push notification
battery life different from case 2 case, but under normal usage, it should last 1 day
if always standby it can last abt 3day, extreme gaming + 3g will only last 3 hours

laggy, tat really depends on each person's definition
if u mean visual UI lag, well there is, all android lag,
most noticeable is lag in UI whn u swipe between page of app tat time,
with software installation n update in the background

I have to agree with you. Currently I have no issue with my TX. just don't expect much from the battery pack. Picture quality.... Still can't beat my Nikon D90 or Canon G3 (4mp only)

Yes 2000, the seller stated it wrongly. The battery package stated 2000 as well as the battery itself

Androidpolice was bashing the TX. sleep.gif

For me, after testing against a few Android phones, I really do love the screen and built quality. Maybe its because I got the touchscreen version "b" which made all the difference? laugh.gif Other than that, it's smooth by my definition (changed my launcher to Nova Launcher), with good battery life. Not awesome, but just good smile.gif

I wished rooting the phone wasn't so complicated, having to downgrade the firmware pulak sleep.gif

Got the phone last Friday, and this is the longest period any of my Android phones has been left unrooted . I feel so, limited. sad.gif Once i can get CWM in, i can has volume wake, status bar mods, battery mode, remove bloatware, etc etc etc whistling.gif icon_idea.gif
