I got it! Need to register with Club Nintendo using the pin number in the box. Downloading my Pokemon X now! 😄

From what I understand, the promo will only be valid if you register your 3ds using the club nintendo pin. I actually registered using my 3ds serial number at first and didn't get the promo game. I then korek out the 3ds box and found the Club Nintendo pin, registered again using that and ta-dah! Free pokemon y! 😁
