Nintendo Australia has announced today that the New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL will launch on November 21, 2014 in Australia and New Zealand.

The announcement was made via Nintendo’s first Nintendo Direct Australia broadcast.

“This will be the first launch outside of Japan, and there are no plans to release the system in America and Europe this year,” said Nintendo Australia managing director Tom Enoki during the presentation.

The suggested retail prices will be AUD$220 for the New Nintendo 3DS and AUD$250 for the New Nintendo 3DS XL. The consoles will not include an AC adapter but are compatible with all previous model DS and 3DS adapters. Buyers who require an adapter can pick one up separately for AUD$15.

Aus 3DS play US games or not? I remember old days got Australian version games, but wondering if there is any region for it now though.

waikit92, wait for Nintendo to announce a 2DS monstrosity. Look at Deka Vita, a 7 Inch abomination of a micro console and an awkward handheld  sweat.gif .
