I join after financial tsunami ,the time i was with unit trust only, see paper loss and no distribution then i move to stock .
Paying the fund manager fee, doing paper loss job for me .

I’m sharing my view and it may different with other sifu with other explanation.

When a company offers a good Dividend, didn’t means with will shoot up the price double in short year. We have to look the company revenue (EPS) sustainable growth to give such dividend. Telco is good business as only we don’t see a sharp increase of revenue as we know m’sia mobile penetration already 100%. Technology never stop changing, it juz matter more new product and consumer willing to pay for the product.

My 2nd point is holding power of investor- how long you want from Maxis, like seeing the children growth. As long the company is managing well and good governance there no reason the child don’t grow up in proper way.

My 3rd point is sentimental and setting goal ; when chasing high, whatever go up will go down then we must look what the purpose holding maxis as speculation or long term investor. Set your duration or exit price, either chase higher get ready of risk to go down; else you wait when go down and see it go up. For me I don’t like to chase high for accumulation becoz I believe the higher I paying the likelihood the stock may go down as a risk. My average price I collected for maxis rm5.43 around 3000 shares. I will collecting more juz matter waiting the uncertainty will happen after GE then my holding power is until retire(another 30yr).

Forgive me if my points are different or disagreement, I willing listen any sifu comment.
By the way what price you bought and what you’re expecting from maxis stock?
